Anyone who did the math will figure that this would be impossible, since 46-22=24 24-1=23 23-2=21 21-10=11 Anyways the 22 years part has been changed to 20. This is where the journey started 13 years ago outside of King Dacantas castle. A group of the King's soldiers' lead by Leji Camerta is trying to stop the mob from destroying the castle. ((End of Clip)) The game begins outside of the Castle. You'll have 3 groups to control. Use the O button to switch between each group. Each unit has a leader and 6 soldiers. The following conversation takes place. Royal Soldier: Dasvarton has been sighted on the other side of the bridge. Commander Leji Camerta: Ok, we'll break up into 3 groups. One led by Damon Varrols, one by Jett Shinuzzo, and the remaining by myself. Commander Leji Camerta: My group will attack the mob head-on, while group Varrols protects the outside of the castle, and group Shinuzzo guards the inside. Move out! Move the units into position like Camerta told you. The mob rushes at Camerta's group and your first battle will start. There's no way to win this battle, so just try to last as long as possible. Camerta will be the only person in the group to live through this battle. Damon's group is the next to battle. Each person in the group has a crossbow, but this won't do you any good since these guys can't aim worth squat. The mob pelts the second group with rocks and you'll be forced to retreat. They then join up with Jett's group inside the castle along with Camerta. Another talk takes place. Damon Varrols: They are more powerful then we thought. Jett Shinuzzo: I just hope we don't have to use the other plan. Damon Varrols: Which is? Jett Shinuzzo: Escape from the castle and then torch it. Damon Varrols: We have never resorted to that before. There shouldn't be a first time for something like that. Jett Shinuzzo: Would you rather die? Damon Varrols: No, but imagine what it would do to the pride of King Dacantas and Reyle as a whole. Jett Shinuzzo: We are already alone, A few days ago Aqert, Ujavz and Nyckos signed a three-way truce agreement. Damon Varrols: The Kingdom of the Doomed wouldn't be much help anyway. We would need Aqert or Ujavz's support to get anywhere. Jett Shinuzzo: Why would anyone want Nyckos as ally. It's full of criminals and monsters. At this point the mob breaks through the front door and attacks your group. Since there's more than 5 people in your group a huge battle takes place. This is a real time battle. Move Leji, Damon and Jett towards the back. If any one of them die it's game over. Use your Royal Soldiers to gang up on a few of the mob members at a time. Hopefully you can take them out, if not you'll be forced to use the main units. There is one unit that you can't kill no matter how hard you attack. This is Dasvarton and you'll have to fight him in your first boss battle using Jett and Damon. Leji is still wounded from his last battle, so he sits this one out. (If you can't beat this battle return the game to the store.) When you get Dasvarton down to 1 HP he will disappear and the battle will end. You'll hear a scream from the throne room, so run down there and inside. King Dacantas is dead with Dasvarton standing over him with a spear in his back. There's more talking. Jett: How did you get here so fast? Dasvarton: 5 letter word for you "M-A-G-I-C" and now that I have healed my wounds, your going to die. Then I will become the new king. Voice: That's not going to happen. At this time Leji will walk into the throne room and join the conversation. Leji Camerta: I'll hold him off, while you escape. Jett: I refuse to run! Leji Camerta: That's an order, now leave. Jett and Damon agree with Camerta and automatically exit the throne room, as the door lock behind them. In the background you can hear weapons clashing and screams. After about 15 seconds walk back into throne room to find Dasvarton and Leji both dead. Search the bodies to find bullet holes in them Jett: They have been shot! Damon: Let's get out of here! Another automatic action takes place and the two exit the castle. ((Another Narration with more FMV)) Jett and Damon escaped from the castle. The kingdom of Reyle had been saved. After King Dacantas murder, there was no one take the throne. Dacantas had no family in the Reyle area. There were two obvious choices for who would become the next king. The two warriors that stopped the Dasvarton's mob. Neither of them wanted to be king, so the famous general Gepant Fendomer that had saved over a thousand people from a P.O.W camp during "The Lacio War" was elected. For the next 13 years the only attacks were a couple invasions from the three other kingdoms that none of them lasted more than a week. Then one night a huge number of soldiers from Nyckos attacked Dacantas castle and burned it to the ground. 200 were killed during the battle including the king. Then a few days later the kingdoms of Aqert and Ujavz declared war on Reyle. This ends the Prologue. The game will ask you if you want to save at this point. (Kertu) The game will flash forward to the present, and starts at the Shinuzzo house in Kertu, Reyle. Jett: I have to return the Royal Soldiers, Lani, the whole kingdom is under attack. Lani: I thought you retired from them. Jett: They need everyone that can get, heck some of the people that fought "The Lacio War" are still in the R.S. , And that ended 23 years ago. At this point you'll hear a knock from the door, so go have Jett open it. There's a man standing outside. Man: Commander Shinuzzo the city is under attack! Lani: How could you be a commander if you dropped out of the R.S. Jett: I was promoted shortly before I retired 3 years ago. Listen I really have to rejoin them. Lani: Fine then I'm coming with you. Man: Ok, you two I'll lead you to our secret base. Jett: I know where it is! Man: We moved it last year Commander Shinuzzo. Jett: Ok, then I guess you better lead. Before leaving the house search the closets to pick up 2,000 Dac, the Leather Jacket, the Headband and 5 first-aid kits. Equip Lani with the protection you just found and then follow the man outside. There's fighting going on up the street, but ignore it for now. A Humvee appears out of the darkness and drives down the road right at you. Before you can react the Humvee fires its machine gun and kills the man. Then the Humvee comes right at Jett and Lani, so run down into the near-by alley where the Humvee can't follows you. The driver gets out of the Humvee on foot and runs after the two. Keep running through the alley and you will eventually reach a dead end. Open the crater and remove the gun trigger from it. Draw Jett's Broadsword and run down the alley holding it up. This makes the Lasersight reflect off the Broadsword and blind the Humvee driver. A battle starts and Jett gets a free attack. The Humvee Driver is a piece of cake to beat. Just keep doing damage with Jett's Broadsword, until the driver gets killed. Take the keys from the driver and go back to where the Humvee is. Start the Humvee and drive down the road until you reach 3 R.S. members. Jett will automatically stop the Humvee and get out. Royal Soldier 1: Commander Shinuzzo, glad you could make it. Jett: Where did you get those weapons? R.S. 2: We hijacked a truck that was on the way into Kertu. Jett: Where is Commander Varrols? R.S. 3: Didn't you hear the news? Jett: What news? R.S. 3: Varrols moved out of Reyle, and now lives in the Aqert Kingdom. Jett: Is he in the A.S.? R.S. 3: Maybe, the R.S. lost track of him a few months ago. Jett: Where is the enemy at right now? R.S. 1: They retreated a few minutes ago Crushing sounds start up in the background at this point. Jett: What the heck? Lani: Quick, turn around. (FMV starts here with voice acting) Jett and the 3 soldiers turn around to see a huge robot destroying Kertu. Robot: This robot is Blitzarmor of the Aqert Soldiers SURRENDER NOW! Jett: That voice sounds familiar! Blitzarmor: This is General Damon Varrols of the Aqert Soldiers piloting this Armor, I have orders to capture you. Resist and I will destroy what's left of the city. Jett: DAMON, YOU TRAITOR! Damon: Jett is that you? Jett: OF COURSE IT'S ME, HOW COULD YOU BETRAY REYLE LIKE THIS! Damon: I'll answer that question. A laser comes out of one Blitzarmor's arm and blows the house up next to where Jett is standing. Damon: Is that good enough, if not I can destroy another one! Jett: YOU SICKO! Damon: Ouch! That hurt. A missile launcher on Blitzarmor's shoulder fires a missile at another house that coincidentally happens to be Jett's. Damon: I have better things to do. See you around Jett ha ha ha! The Jetpack mounted on Blitzarmor's back ignites and it flies off into the sky. (End of FMV and Voice Acting) Jett: COME BACK HERE YOU COWARD! Jett: STUPID JERK WITH HIS STUPID ROBOT! Lani: Calm down Jett, yelling won't undo the damage Damon and Blitzarmor have done. Jett: I guess you're right. R.S. 1: You two better leave town before the A.S. sends in back up. Jett: The whole kingdom is under attack, where are we supposed to go? R.S. 2: Try Nyckos. Jett: I'm not going there. R.S. 1: Why not? Jett: Forget about it, I rather die than return there. R.S. 3: What's so bad about it. Jett: I'm guessing you never lived there. Jett: Drive-byes, Robberies, Mass Killings, Mutations, Demon Invasions, and that's just the beginning. R.S. 2: Why doesn't the N.S. do anything about it. Jett: Most of them take bribes from the criminals, and the rest of them are no major threats. Jett: That's why I came here. R.S. 3: Yeah, but at least they aren't at war with anyone. Jett: Not worth the trouble of trying to take over. Lani: Why don't we try and sneak into Ujavz? Jett: I'm wanted as a criminal there and also in Aqert. Lani: What did you do? Jett: Lead a few attacks on them. R.S. 1: There's a base that is south of here in the capital of Reyle, which is the city of Velin, I know quite a few soldiers there. R.S. 2: I'll stay here and help protect the city. R.S. 3: I'll help guard Kertu also. R.S. 1: Fine, the three of us will leave in the morning. Lani: Let's go the Inn. Jett: All right, leave the Humvee behind, there's not much gas left in it. At this point Jett notices something on the dashboard of the Humvee and grab it. It's the Pager, one of the most important items. The Humvee Page is already inputted into it. Get out of the Humvee and use the Save Thingy to record your progress. Don't go to the Inn yet! First stop by the Arsenal, Protection and Items shops. The prices for the stuff is way more Dac then you have, but Jett will get a huge discount since he's a R.S. Commander. Buy the Pistol, 2 Jingi Helmets, the Reyle Armor and Gear. Don't bother with the Item Shop since if you bought all the stuff above you'll have enough for 1 first-aid kit. Oh yeah remove Lani's equipment because she will be leaving you very soon. Return to the Save Thingy and save then go towards the Inn. A small chat will take place before you go in. Jett: Hey what's your name. R.S. 1: Juan Vaughn. Jett: Ok, let's move out. Waiting inside of the Inn will be a whole unit of the A.S. A.S. Commander: You have fell into our little trap. Jett: Did Damon send you? A.S. Commander: Why should I tell you? Jett: You know you're going to die anyway. A.S. Commander: You are outnumbered 100 to 3, don't even try it. Juan: We're armed. A.S. Commander: You think we would be stupid enough not to bring weapons The unit will draw their weapons and point them at you at this point in the talk. Juan: Big deal. Juan lifted the rocket launcher into the air. A.S. Commander: Hope you know the arming key for they stolen launcher. Juan: What arming key? A.S. Commander: We have keys for all our heavy weaponry. A.S. Commander: Drop your weapons and we might let you live. Jett: Never. A.S. Commander: Fire at them! At this point the A.S. unit fires at your party. Don't even think about trying to dodge because any direction you move will automatically get you hit. Just stand there and let them shoot you. After a few shots Jett, Lani and Juan will fall to the floor. A.S. Commander: You're lucky that was only stun ammo. At this point the group passes out. A few seconds pass and then you'll wake up in the back of the inn. There are several scientists talking. Lead Scientist: How did the test results come back? Scientist: We found some unknown chemicals in his bloodstream. Lead Scientist: What about the other two? Scientist: We found similar chemicals in her bloodstream. The other man tested normal. Lead Scientist: Are they the same as the ones in General Varrols? Scientist: Yes. Lead Scientist: That's impossible. Scientist: We ran the tests 4 times and it kept coming out positive. Lead Scientist: We have to find out where those chemicals came from. Hopefully no one else has been exposed to them. In the meantime get rid of those 2. Scientist: Yes sir. 10 scientists circle around Jett. They lift him up onto a stretcher. The scientists carry it outside and push it into a cargo truck that arrives. There is a second group of scientists that come out the main doors with another stretcher on it. Lani is on this one. The second stretcher gets placed next to the first one. Inside the truck are several armed members of the A.S. including the commander that ordered Jett and Lani to be fired on earlier. Lead Scientist: Where do you plan to take these two? A.S. Commander: Spite Valley. Lead Scientist: A 250 foot drop right into the rapids, no one has ever came out of there alive. A.S. Commander: There's no way it could fail. I better get going before the stun shots start to wear off. The truck departs towards Spite Valley, south of Kertu. After seeing about 20 seconds of driving the truck arrives at a checkpoint. It's been camouflage of course so no one figures out that it's from the A.S. (The Wall) The R.S. Commander stops the truck at the gate. R.S. Commander: Halt! What's in the truck. A.S. Driver: I am going to Velin to pick up supplies. R.S. Commander: There are no exports from Velin planned for today, I'll need to see what's in the truck. A.S. Driver: Be my guest. As these words appear on screen the A.S. Driver pushes a button to activate a silent alarm in the back of the truck. The trunk opens and you'll see a pitch-black screen with flashes of gunfire. The R.S. Commander gets killed and then soldiers go rushing out of the truck. You'll be asked if you want save after this. Then another real-time battle starts up at this point. You have the upper hand on this one due to the two guard towers right next to the Wall. Be careful to only attack the soldiers coming out of the truck, and not the truck. If the truck explodes, Jett and Lani will be killed and it's game over. Eventually the commander and his four best soldiers come out of the truck and kill most of your remaining units. Then Jett steps out of the truck and another boss battle begins. This one is a lot harder then the one versus Dasvarton since your outnumbered 5 to 1. Make sure to use Hyper to increase your chances of winning. Don't bother with Blood Blade though because it's too risky. After killing the four soldiers and seriously wounding the A.S. Commander the battle will end. A.S. Commander: This attack wasn't a total failure for us. Jett: What are you talking about? R.S. Soldier #10: I hear something Commander Shinuzzo. Before Jett gets a chance to respond, missiles and bombs fly out of nowhere hit the Wall and everything around it. All of the R.S. Soldiers get killed on impact. Move Jett as far away from the wall as possible to reduce the chances of being killed. He gets hurt badly no matter where he stands, but being in the right place means the difference between life and death. Jett: Must . . . be . . .Stealtharmor After Jett says these words he passes out and you'll asked yet again if you want to save. (Savior) Jett awakes to find himself in a bed. There are two people standing next to him. Man: You're awake. Jett: What happened, where am I? Woman: Some of the townspeople found you near the Wall and brought you are. Jett: Was anyone else alive? Man: No, I'm sorry they are all dead. Jett: Did you find a woman there, I mean not in a uniform. Man: No, all we found were corpses of R.S. and A.S soldiers. Jett: She must be alive then, I must go find her. Woman: You shouldn't leave here, you are hurt badly. Jett: She will be killed, if anyone in the A.S. finds her. I must leave now! Man: No! There are several A.S. scouts all around the area outside of the tunnel; they are looking for you I think? Jett: I will fight them. Man: You are too weak to fight! A large amount of cheering comes from outside right here. Jett: What's that?! Woman: Nothing important. Jett: I'm going to take a look. You will be able to stand up now. You'll get as far as the front door before Jett realizes something. Jett: Where's my broadsword? Man: It must have been melted in the explosion. Jett: Looks like I'm unarmed, oh well I better go out there anyway. You can now open the front door and walk outside. Outside a crowd has gathered around a stake. A girl is tied to the stake with guards standing on each side of her. Crowd member #1: Burn the witch! You hear more cheering. Jett: What the heck is going on here?! Crowd member #2: Haven't you heard, That girl up there is a witch! Jett: Why are you murdering her?! Crowd member #1: She's a threat to the town! The witch could kill us at anytime! A man holding a torch walks up to the stake. Executor: Any last words witch? Girl: No. Executor: Then it is time! Jett: I don't think so! Run up to Executor pushing any crowd members that are in your way aside by using the X button. Executor: You dare to protect the witch, You shall join her! Jett: Get this through thick skull, She's not a threat to you, if the girl was going to harm you wouldn't she have already done it?! Executor: You are outnumbered and unarmed, give it up now, and I'll forget you tried to harm us. Jett: Never! The crowd gathers around Jett, and starts to punch him. There's too many to shove off so don't bother to try. Jett eventually falls to the ground and the crowd starts stepping on him. Executor: Enough! now let's take care of the witch!!! The crowd starts to gather back around the stake leaving Jett on the ground battered. Executor lights the stake on fire. The inferno travels up the stake fast, reaching the girl at the top. Amazingly the flames don't do any harm to her body. Executor: What the . . . Crowd Member #1: Cut her head off! Executor blows out the torch and throws it aside. He draws his Huge Axe and starts lifting it towards the girl. An arrow flies out of the crowd and sticks into the side of Executor's helmet. Executor: Ouch! Who shot that damn arrow? Guy with Crossbow: It was I. Do the same thing you did before with Jett and have the Crossbow Guy make his way to Executor. Jett: Looks like someone's going to get hurt. Executor: Yeah and it's going to be you three. Have the Crossbow Guy untie the Girl by rapidly pressing the Triangle button. After this is done a boss battle will start with Executor. Have the Girl use Static Charge, the Crossbow Guy attack, and Jett use the Humvee Page. Be careful because Jett's Level and total HP are much lower than before. Executor can kill Jett in two axe swipes, and the other two characters in one, so make the battle short as possible. After winning you will receive the Huge Axe, the Midnight Armor and Helmet plus a lot of EXP. and Dac. The equipment is useless at this point, but hold onto it for later on. Executor: You damaged my armor, but my body remains intact. Until next time fools Ha Ha Ha! The crowd is not happy at all with Executor losing. They capture your party and throw you into a pit on the outskirts of town. The screen will go black for a few seconds and your party will be in the pit. Jett: Where am I? You'll hear a loud growl right here. Jett: Looks like I'm screwed. The Crossbow Guy is the next to awaken. Crossbow Guy: Looks like there's only one way out and it's up ahead. Jett: I don't think it would be a great idea to go through there Last but not least the Girl comes to. Jett: Oh yeah by the way my name is Jett Shinuzzo, a commander for the Reyle Soldiers. ((If you couldn't figure this out by now then there's no way your could have gotten this far)) Crossbow Guy: I'm Derek Binson, leader of the Corpse Gang. Girl: My name is Erin Merteri. Jett lifts Erin into his arms. Jett: Let's go. Travel down the tunnel and you hear the growling getting louder. You know when you reach the end when you hear a series of screams. There is a Save Thingy right where the tunnel ends on a top of a mountain. Make sure to use it and then continue on. You'll see two dragons lit on fire and standing right of them is a man. The man is chanting some sort of spell. Man: Jaei banje vacap werty sinvac Bolts of lighting strikes down from the cloudy sky and hits the man. The man turns towards Jett. Man: Commander Shinuzzo? I thought we killed you at the Wall. Jett will figure that the following out by just look at the man's uniform. Jett: You're one of the nine Aqert generals. Man: Yes, I am Sirpirtincus one of the nine destined to rule this world. Jett: You wish! Sirpirtincus: You don't get the point, do you? Jett: Yeah, You are an insane idiot who thinks he can take control of this world with just fear. Sirpirtincus: Power is the key that unlocks anywhere, and you fools are the door standing in its path. Sirpirtincus sends a huge ball of energy at Derek causing him to go crashing down the mountain. Jett slowly puts Erin on the ground. Jett: I am the unbreakable lock. The battle starts but it's rigged. Sirpirtincus will always get the first turn and he casts Aura Volt on Jett, which does 10,000+ damage. After getting hit by the spell Jett falls down about 15 feet before he hits a cliff. Jett: Derek! Erin! Sirpirtincus: What do they have to do with this? Jett looks down and you get to see the bloody scene of Derek impaled through the chest on one of the rocks below. Jett: Erin! Run back into the cave! ((FMV clip)) Sirpirtincus jumps off the top of the mountain down onto the cliff Jett is lying on. Jett slowly stands up, and raises his fist to punch Sirpirtincus in the face. Sirpirtincus grabs Jett's hand, and lifts him into the air over the edge of the cliff. The cliff can't support the weight for any longer, and snaps sending Sirpirtincus and Jett flying through the air. They plummet towards the ground below, but then Sirpirtincus disappears into nothingness leaving Jett to finish the 10,000-foot fall by himself. When Jett hits the ground, he gets knocked out. ((End of FMV Clip)) (Vaughn, Juan Vaughn) The game switches to inside Reyle's Capital City of Velin in the R.S. HQ Colonel: We need to attack the Ujavz Air Force base now! General 1: What's happened? Colonel: One of our insiders just gave us information about a bombing run on Kertu, that's going to happen in a few hours! General 2: There's no way to get past Spite Valley, now that the wall has been destroyed. Colonel: We have find way through sir, even if it does risking death. General 1: You will not be allowed to waste lives on a suicide mission, and that's final. An informant runs inside of the compound at this point. Informant: You better come quickly, A helicopter with Inferak and a unit of soldiers has landed outside of the city. Colonel: INFERAK! THAT'S THE LAST THING WE NEED ABOUT NOW! General 1: Prepare the soldiers for battle, Colonel. Colonel: All right sir. The Colonel exits the operation room and heads towards the training area. General 1: We could use a victory about now. General 2: This isn't going to be an easy battle, the A.S. doesn't let just anyone become a general. General 1: Yeah and Inferak has been with Aqert ever since it's founding, he has quite a bit of honor to protect. The game moves to the training grounds. Colonel: Listen up, Inferak and a unit of troops are on the way, get your body armor and weapons ready for combat. R.S. Soldier #11: Not again! You get to hear a sound effect of an explosion. Townsperson 1: Agh! Colonel: Inferak is heading this way, to arms! All right for starters there's no way to win this battle. The Colonel has less HP then one of the A.S. Soldiers and Inferak can take out your 4 R.S. soldiers with one blast of his flame-thrower. The Colonel lives though, so don't worry when he falls to a kneeling position, the battle ends. Inferak: That was too easy. A.S Soldier #6: Maybe it was a set-up for something larger? Inferak: I don't care, destroy the rest of the city! You move back to the R.S. HQ now. Colonel limped into the room, leaving a trail of blood behind him. Colonel: We are being slaughtered out there! General #1: We have to escape with the troops we have left. General #2: We have lost enough battles, the war will be over if we lose this one! General #1: No, we must regroup elsewhere. Colonel: Forget it, there's no use in fighting now. Colonel and General #1 walk out of the back door and leave. General #2: I am fighting until the end, do you hear me! Inferak: Yes, but that would be a stupid choice on your part. General #2: Where did that come from?! Inferak and his troops come into the main room of the HQ. General #2: Guards! Inferak: No use in calling them now. Inferak throws one of the guard's head onto a table. General #2: Oh no! General #2 runs for the back door and opens it only to find more A.S. Soldiers blocking his path. Then General #2 runs down a stairway and locks a door in his path. Inferak tries to open the door, but he can't get it open. Inferak: It must be keycard operated, oh well we have already taken the city. The Game goes back to Kertu and you gain control of Juan. You have 3 minutes to get out of the city, which is easy since there's no scientists or A.S. soldiers in your path. There is something optional here to find, but you WILL want it later on. First go to the front part of the inn and press the Square button to crawl underneath the tables. Under one of them is the Arming Key for the rocket launcher. This is your only chance to get it, so don't think about coming back for it later. Run out of the Inn after getting the Arming Key. Waiting outside are R.S. #2 and #3 with the Humvee. Juan will automatically get inside. R.S. 2: There's enemy bombers heading this way! R.S. 3: Start driving then! The Humvee travels through the city with the planes dropping high- explosive bombs right behind it. They will miss the Humvee, but end up destroying Kertu. A.S. Pilot: Target destroyed, returning to base. Now you get to see what's going on from the enemies' point of view. Overlord: What do you mean that Shinuzzo escaped?! Sirpirtincus: He fell off of the side of a mountain. Overlord: Then he must be dead! Sirpirtincus: We are talking about Jett Shinuzzo here, something like that won't do him in. Damon: He's right, there's only one to kill him, and that's by my hands. Overlord: Well then go kill him, he's going to be a problem for us until we dispose of him. Now you are in another building this one is in the Reyle Communications. Radio Operator: Sir, we have just lost contact with Kertu and Velin. Boss: What?! Radio Operator: All I hear is static, the power must have been knocked out. Boss: In Kertu and Velin at the same time! IMPOSSIBLE! General #2: Can anyone hear me? Radio Operator: I hear you loud and clear what's going on there? General #2 Listen I'm in the basement of the Velin base. Inferak has taken control of the city, and killed most of the R.S. here. I don't how much longer until the base generator goes out, so I could be cut off at any time. Radio Operator: Listen, what's going on in Kertu? We aren't getting any response from the base there. General #2: Last thing, I heard was that the Ujavz Air Force launched a bombing run on there and . . . Radio Operator: Come in? Radio Operator: The power has been knocked out to the main headquarters. Boss: Let's send a crew to rescue to the POW. Radio Operator: Are you sure that's a good idea? I mean with Inferak there and everything? Boss: We have no other choice. The room starts shaking violently. If you have bought Pain with the Ripple Pak you will most likely drop your controller and break it, so make sure you hold it over something soft. Radio Operator: EARTHQUAKE! Then a claw breaks through the door of the room, and rips it from the hinges. Creature: ROARGH! The Creature then kicks the radio equipment into the wall smashing it into pieces. Radio Operator: We're screwed. ?????: Oh great, another escaped project from Nyckos. Will those people ever learn? Radio Operator: Who are you? ?????: Doesn't matter, now stand back, and shut up! The battle will start and you find out ????? is Juan. The battle is super easy if you have the rocket launcher; you are able to kill the creature in one hit. Without the rocket launcher you have to fight the Creature with no weapons, but the Radio Operator and the Boss will help out. The down side to this is that Juan is the only who can hit for more than 1 damage. Hopefully the creature won't attack Juan. ((This what happens if you got the rocket launcher)) Juan: You're lucky that I escaped from Kertu before it got totaled. I nearly got killed trying to the arming key for this bad boy. ((And without the rocket launcher)) Juan: Thanks for being human shields losers. Either way the game switches to a small bar called the Criminals' Paradise north of the mountain. (Home is where the Hell is) Gang member 1: Where did you find him? Gang member 2: Near the bottom of the mountain. Gang member 1: Anything expensive? Gang member 2: Nah, just this. Gang member 2 holds up a nearly destroyed piece of body armor. Gang member 2: He looks familiar. Gang member 1: Of course, that's Commander Jett Shinuzzo of the R.S., he's a legend! Gang member 2: How much do you think he is worth to the R.S. Gang member 1: I see what you are getting at, this guy is worth more than anything we ever managed to steal. Gang member 2: We could easily get 2,000,000 Dac in ransom. You get to hear a sound effect of Jett groaning. Gang member 1: He's awake. Jett: How did I end up here? Gang member 2: We found you at the bottom of the mountain, you got beat up pretty bad. Jett looks up at the two gang members and recognizes them from the outfits. Jett: You're wanted criminals! Gang member 1: Like there's anyone in Aqert who's going to stop us. Jett slowly stands up. Jett: Ignorance will be your downfall. Gang member 2 whistles and three more members of the gang enter the bar. This fight is a loss battle from the beginning. Jett is only at Level 11 now, and the Gang Members have 3,500 HP compared to Jett's measly 700. One of the gang members will tie Jett up, but then the front doors break apart as a massive figure charge through them. Buff guy: There better be some booze in here! Gang member 4: Can't you see that we are busy? Buff guy: I haven't had a drink in days! The Buff guy pounds on the bar breaking in half. Jett: Those muscles have to be implants. Buff guy: What did you say? Jett: Nothing. Buff guy: There's nothing here, I am so pissed! Jett: We have plenty of liquor back in the cellar at the base, if you help me out here, I'll let you drink yourself drunk. Buff guy: Now that's what I'm talking about, all right you have a deal. The battle restarts this time between the Buff Guy and the Gang. B.G. automatically kills one of the gang members and the battle is won. Gang member 5: Let's get out of here! The remaining four gang members run out of the bar. Jett removes the chain around him. Jett: Whoa! We could use that kind of power in the R.S. Buff guy: Why would I join a losing effort, besides all the good breweries are in Aqert. Listens I'll take a raincheck on those drinks, I better go check on my family. The Buff guy walks out of the bar. Jett: Something tells me that he's too powerful and smart to be a drunk. Oh well time to head back to the hellhole. Walk out of the bar and down the street until you reach a beat-up mansion. There are no stores on the way, so don't bother to stop. Jett: It looks even worse than the last time I was here. Walk inside and you'll see that the place has been trashed. Jett will automatically look down into a puddle of red. Jett: Somebody's here, I see wet blood on the floor. Walk down the hall until you see a sword called the Honor Blade sticking out of a wall. Jett: My father's sword?! But, he's been dead for years. Jett automatically removes the Honor Blade and equips it for you. After this done keep walking straight until you hear a scream. Jett: It's coming from upstairs! Run up the stairway to the second floor and search around until you find an open door to a bedroom. Sirpirtincus is standing in the middle of the room, and handcuffed to the bed is a young woman. Jett: What are you doing to my daughter? Sirpirtincus: I knew you would come here, and I have decided to take a few hostages. Besides she'll be a great asset to us, if she's as powerful as you were. Don't even try to fight me in your weaken state. See you in Velin old man. Sirpirtincus teleports away taking Jett's daughter with him. Jett: You'll pay for that Sirpirtincus! There's a locked safe on a desk. The combination is 36-24-36 and inside is 5000 Dac and the Kelvar Armor. Equip Jett with it and then walk over to the bed. Jett will lie down on the bed and fall asleep. Jett: I have to regain my power, if I want to stand a chance against Sirpirtincus, maybe I can find a healer in the Ruined Village west of here, of course I'll need a boat get there. The game moves to the R.S. H.Q., which has been seized by Sirpirtincus and Inferak. Sirpirtincus appears holding Jett's daughter's arm. Sirpirtincus: We have company on the way. Inferak: Who? Sirpirtincus: Shinuzzo, I just met up with him in Nyckos, and took someone that important to him. Inferak: I have already sent troops to block off the South and East Bridges to keep anyone from getting into or out of Ujavz or Nyckos. Sirpirtincus: What about Spite Valley? Inferak: You think I'm going to waste soldiers to protect that, there's no way through. Sirpirtincus: A boat might be able to get through there you fool! Inferak: Nyckos has no bodies of water where is Shinuzzo going to get a boat from? Sirpirtincus: He could cross the north bridge and then hit the Harbor, and plus it runs right into Spite Valley. Inferak: He has to go through the checkpoint at the North Bridge and without the key to lower the bridge he can't get passed. Sirpirtincus: We still have to deal with what's left of the R.S. Inferak: With Velin under siege and Kertu destroyed, there won't be much resistance. Sirpirtincus walks over to a table and sees a book with writing in it. Sirpirtincus: What's this? Sirpirtincus opens the book. Use the directional arrows to flip through the pages. Page 253 June 9, 2627 (note this is not BC or AD) A spy unit was sent to Nyckos today to check out Test Site #47. Hopefully we can find the reason for the experiments conducted on prisoners there. Page 254 June 18, 2627 The unit was supposed to return two days ago. We haven't received contact from them in five days. Page 255 June 29, 2627 The northeast base was attacked by a group of monsters. The communication units were all destroyed except for one. Sirpirtincus: This last entry was written 12 years ago. Inferak: Yeah, so? Sirpirtincus: I have a feeling that this was the beginning of the downfall of Nyckos. Sirpirtincus grabs the book and walks outside to one of the soldiers at the front entrance of the base. A.S. Soldier #7: What's going on General? Sirpirtincus: Find anyone in this town who's a researcher and bring them to us. A.S Soldier #7: Why? Sirpirtincus hands the book to A.S. Soldier #7. Sirpirtincus: Show them this book, it contains all the military secrets of Reyle, even a few from when this area was Southeast Lacio. Sirpirtincus walks back inside the R.S. H.Q. A.S. Soldier #7: Hey, where did the other soldier guarding here go? He's been gone for almost half an hour. A rocket flies out from behind a corner of a building and hits A.S. Soldier #7's head causing it to explode. A.S. Soldier #5 walks out from behind the corner and removed the book from A.S. Soldier #5's corpse. A.S. Soldier #5: Phase one completed. A.S. Soldier #5 shoves the book under his jacket and walks towards the city limits. This will be important later on, so try and remember it. The game flashes forward to the next morning. Jett will be awake now, so walk out of the bedroom. You'll see Damon was waiting on the stairway for Jett. Walk over to him. Damon: I knew you would come back here. You always served loyalty to yourself before your kingdom. Jett: At least I'm not a traitor! Damon: You betrayed Nyckos when you left to join the R.S. Jett: You did also! Damon: Look where I ended up, I'm a general now, and you are barely a commander. Jett: You only got your rank for selling out Reyle! You are the one who's a traitor! Damon: I always fight for the winner, and that's what brings success. Jett: Prepare to be the loser! Damon: In the state you are in this wouldn't be fair, so I return you to full power All Heal! This battle is a one on one duel between Jett and Damon. First off Jett's stats are back to where they were at the Wall making things easier. The hardest part about this battle is that Damon can heal himself and he uses his Talents. Make sure to use Jett's Talents. If you manage to pull off Blood Blade you can defeat Damon in one hit. After the battle is over Jett will run the Honor Blade through Damon's heart. Damon: Jett... Jett: Damon... Damon: What have I done? Jett: Obeying your orders. Jett removes the Honor Blade from Damon's heart and throws him over the edge of the stairway. You hear Jett sigh and then you will regain control over him. Walk down the stairway to the front door. Damon: It's not over yet Jett. A ring on one of Damon's fingers starts to glow and he disappears into nothingness. Open the front door and go outside and head south. Make sure to use the Save Thingy that is north of the mansion. Eventually the game switches back to the R.S. H.Q. (Chokede-mon) Meanwhile Inferak and Sirpirtincus have broke into the cellar and drank most of the wine to celebrate their victory. The back door busts open and two dead guards fly into the H.Q. Inferak: Hey someone showed up, now we can sing our new theme song. Inferak: We have total liberation, Sirpirtincus: Killed most of the people in Reyle's nation! Inferak: Destroyed those who tried to bolt, Sirpirtincus: With a well-placed Aura Volt! Inferak: INFERAK! Sirpirtincus: SIRPIRTINCUS! Sirpirtincus: Oppose Aqert and you'll be thrown into the Spite, Inferak: I am a pyromaniac, so I will light! Juan walks into the R.S. H.Q. Juan: Shut the Hell up your singing sucks all right! Sirpirtincus: We have places to conquer so we'll let our friends deal with you! Sirpirtincus and Inferak both teleport out of the headquarters. A few seconds the floor starts vibrating, ((and your controller if the Ripple Pak is inside)) and three creatures come out of the floor. Creature 1: We are the Chokede-mon! Juan: Do I smell a lawsuit? Creature 2: Silence we have come for the most important Chokede-mon in the world. Juan: You mean? Creature 3: Yes! Juan: No, not my pet rock! Anything, but that! ((If you have Juan's rocket launcher he will fire it at one of the Chokede-mons. If not you can skip the stuff in parenthesis)) Juan: Quachi! A small Chokede-mon that looks like a rock jumps through Juan's neck and onto the floor. It's a three on one ((or two on one if Juan fired the rocket launcher)) battle between the Chokede-mon. When Quachi's HP gets low it will automatically use Sacrifice killing all of the Chokede-mon. Juan: Quachi! No! Juan falls to his knees. General #2 heard what was going on out in the main room and opened the door. General #2: Maybe we should leave him alone. Jett's daughter will agree with the General, and the two of them will walk outside. Juan stands up holding the remains of Quachi, and walks outside, then throws into a hole. Juan: Sorry pal, but I have to stop Aqert before the others are forced to suffer like you did. Juan walks over to the rest of the party and rejoins. (Religion and Revenge) You regain control of Jett and are now on the overhead map. There are three places you can go Jett's hometown "Hole", the East Bridge, or Saint Omit's Church. If you try to go anywhere else Jett will say he has more important things to do. Go back to Hole. (That's where you were before) Jett will be in another part of town, which has a shop with armor and items. Buy some Gauze Pads, Efer, Pillows, and a Merthil Helmet. There's also the Armored Armor, which has a high defense, but doesn't provide the added bullet protection Kelvar provides. It's your call on this one for which is more useful. Then go to the bridge and you find out there's two Armors guarding it. Jett, being smart decides to find another way back into Reyle. This will leave you with one choice, the church. Walk into the church and you'll see an old guy in front of an altar. Priest: What are you doing here young man? Jett: I'm here to find some help. Priest: What kind of help? Jett: I'm on a recruiting mission. Priest: You are with the R.S. correct? Jett: Yeah. Priest: You might want to leave. Jett: Why? Priest: A unit of the A.S. is staying here, and I don't know how long it will be until they come out of their room. Jett: Anyway thanks for your help. Priest: Wait! Where are you going? Jett: I need to get Velin to save my daughter. Priest: The East Bridge has been blocked off by the A.S. you can't get through that way. (He says this even if you did go to the East Bridge) Then Executor and 4 of his lackeys come into the church. Executor: Where's the witch!!! Priest: I have no idea what you are talking about. Executor walks over and places the Priest in a chokehold. Executor: Bring the witch out here now! This is your last chance! Jett: Hey! Let him go! Executor: You again! God dang it! Executor throws the Priest aside and walks towards Jett. The battle starts between Jett, Executor and the 4 Witch Hunters. All you have to do is kill one Witch Hunter who should be easy since it only takes one attack. The other three Witch Hunters flee at the site of this. Executor: Wimps! Now believer of all justice it's time for you die! Executor removes the iron fist on his right hand to reveal a ring on it that is the exact same type as Damon's. Priest: Oh no! That's one of the thirteen legendary Zirconium Rings! Executor: Producer of all death! I present my soul to you! The ring starts to glow and Executor is consumed in beams of darkness. Then his body morphs into a zombie. Priest: I can't allow this being to destroy the life in this building. This battle is harder than the first time around against Executor. Have the Priest use the Beta Cross, Cleanse, and Holy Water spells. Be careful thought because Executor has some powerful spells himself. Jett should use Hyper and if you are low on HP take the risk of using Blood Blade. When Executor's health gets low he uses Soul Consume which takes your entire HP. Don't worry because a knife flies through one of the church's window and finishes Executor off. After this happens the battle ends. Go pick up the "Raise" Zirconium Ring, Pentagram Axe, and the Luck Dagger. After you collected this stuff Damon and Lani walk into the church. Jett: Lani! You are alive! Lani:... Jett: What's wrong sweetie? (FMV starts) Jett looks into Lani's eyes and sees they have become red. Jett: You've become one of them! NO! ARGH THIS CAN'T BE HAPPENING! DAMN IT! MAKE IT STOP! (The FMV ends) Priest: What the heck are you? Lani:... Priest: Aren't you going to say something. Lani's opens her mouth to reveal that her tongue has been cut out. Then two fanged teeth come out and lower into the Priest's neck. He moves away just in time to avoid having his blood sucked. Another Boss Battle starts against Damon and Lani. Since Lani has been turned into a vampire, the Priest's holy based spells will easily hurt her. Damon is more powerful then last time, but luckily he doesn't have any new spells. When they are both low on HP, Damon will teleport them out of there. All of this noise has awakened the A.S. and they come after Jett. Jett gives the Raise Zirconium Ring to the Priest and in return gets the Wyvern page. The soldiers then beat up the snot out of Jett and the screen goes black. The game asks you to save or not. ((Plofessol Jalgon's Tutoliar)) Jett awakes to find himself in a cell with an old man. Jett: Who are you? Old Geezer: Name ale Plofessol Voledom Jalgon, you habe intellogation wif I. Plepale to suffel Jet Cinuzzo. Jett: It's Shinuzzo not Cinuzzo you forking reject! At this point a bal wirr appeal on the reft side of your screen. This is Jet's Sanity Gauge. None of them make sense at arr. Aftel fibe minutes Jalgon stops talking. ((Gun of a Submariner)) The cell door has been opened, so walk out into the hall. You'll see the guards have all been killed. Walk over to the cabinet that is locked and open it. Jett jumps up and a voice says, "You got The Master of Unlocking Talent." Jett jumps up, and uses the new ability on a few doors that appear out of nowhere. Jett falls back onto the ground and the cabinet opens. A guard is hiding inside. Guard: AH! He's back . . . oh wait you aren't him. Jett: What happened? Guard: A man came and killed everyone with a weapon that he called a "Bladegun". I think he's on the bridge. Jett: Bridge? You mean I'm on a ship? Guard: Yeah, this is the Floatarmor, the prison of Aqert. Jett: All right let's move out. Guard: I can't work with you. Jett: Your crew is dead, you want to stay alive? Guard: Yes. Jett: Then come with me. The Guard steps out of the closet and joins your party. Use the Save Thingy right next to the cabinet and then start walking down the hall. After walking for a while one of the doors open and Erin walks out. Jett: Erin! How did you get here? Erin: Sirpirtincus sent a helicopter to come and pick me up. It brought me here. Jett: All right follow me. Erin joins your growing group and gives you 10 Gauze Pads! She doesn't have any equipment though, so give her the Reyle Gear and Headband if you still have them. Keep walking until you reach the bridge. You'll see a man with pink spiky hair standing there. He will look at Jett. Guy with Weird Hairdo: What a terrible haircut you have there! Jett: Who are you oh pink haired one. Guy with Weird Hairdo: Names have no meaning, but to keep you from asking me over and over . . . Ide! Jett: Ide! It's you?! Ide: You wouldn't know what I have been through . . . Mom and Dad always treated you well, but I never got any attention! Jett: You killed Mom, you @#*$%! Now you will pay. Ide: No you are wrong! We killed Mom! This is the hardest battle yet. Ide's attacks with his Bladegun do about 4000 damage! Even worse he can use Operations Ide which makes him even more powerful! Jett's first turn should be spent using Wyvern. Then you should have Jett use Hyper and Blood Blade for the rest of this battle, and hope Ide attacks Erin and the Guard only since they aren't very useful in this battle. The Guard's shotgun attack can do a lot of damage and hits twice, but Ide can kill him in one hit even without Operations Ide! Erin's magic is terrible, so have her use Gauze Pads when necessary which will be every round after the first. When Ide's HP gets low a torpedo will hit the side of the ship and during the distraction he escapes. The ship starts to flood and your party gets pulled underwater and the screen goes black yet again. Jett and the others awaken aboard another ship with a man standing over them. Jett: Not this again. Captain: Jett Shinuzzo . . . is that you? Jett: Hey Trabaj long time no see! Trabaj: It's Captain Zamitaf now, welcome aboard RENEGADE's submarine the "Redwood". Jett: Still obsessed with trees, I see . . . what ever happen to the "Birch"? Trabaj: I sold it because that wasn't big enough for . . . Trabaj: Guys . . . Trabaj: in a . . . Trabaj: Lake! The game asks you if you want save. Trabaj: Anyhow, now we must have to go onto our next part of the plan. Jett: Which is? Trabaj: Getting back to base safely. Jett: Hold on, I think there's a piece of equipment that will make it easier. Trabaj: Which is? Jett: It's a type of cloaking device, we would be able to move without getting tracked on radar or sonar. Stealtharmor has one on it. Trabaj: I don't think that the Redwood could take on something with that power. Jett: Maybe we could steal some Armors from the labs in Nyckos. Plus, there has to be a prototype for the cloaking device. Trabaj: All right, hold on a second, Wicks, Bedge, and Cigar! Get in here right now. Two RENEGADE members that look exactly alike and a man smoking a cigar enter the room. Trabaj: All right Bedge and Wicks you will be coming along with the 3 of us. Cigar your are in charge until I get back. Jett: Wait, I need to you drop me off at the Reyle shoreline. Trabaj: Why? Jett: Sirpirtincus is in Velin, and that means something has happened there. Trabaj: All right, but you shouldn't go alone though, Leslie! A woman walks into the room. Leslie: You called sir? Trabaj: Escort Jett to Velin please. Leslie: All right sir, but is anyone else coming? Trabaj: That's up to Jett. All right you get to choose your party. Wicks and Bedge automatically go with Trabaj's group, and Leslie goes with Jett's. This leaves you to decide whom Erin and the Guard goes with. I personally suggest that Erin go with Jett's group, because her magic will help against some of the foes. It doesn't really matter whom the Guard goes with. After choosing your groups Jett will automatically remove a sword from the wall called the Clayless and equip it. Jett now has the BiSword ability, which means he can equip two swords at once. However one of them must be the Honor Blade. Oh yeah, if you ever try to sell or discard the Honor Blade, Jett says, "I can't get rid of that it's a family heirloom!" The Honor Blade is only in your inventory when Jett's in your party, so no one else can get rid of it either, Remember the Pentagram Axe, the Midnight Helmet and Armor, I told you to hold onto? Give them to Trabaj, and he becomes a powerhouse character. Open up the other chest in the room and you'll find 20,000 Dac! Exit the room and you will find your party only has Jett and Trabaj in it. Trabaj: This won't be easy, we better go get some supplies. Trabaj automatically leads Jett to the cargo room. Two merchants are standing inside. Trabaj: We've come to buy supplies. Merchant #1: We can't charge you for these goods Captain. Trabaj: Listen, you want through the trouble of getting them, so you should be rewarded. Merchant #2: That's very noble of you Captain. You should stock up here, because everything is half price! Buy 4 Chainguns, 5 Evergreen Armors, 6 Oak Helmets, and Gauze Pads and Pillows with whatever Dac you have left over. When you are done in the cargo room, use the Save Thingy right outside the room where everyone else is. Equip the armor and weapons, then talk to Leslie, and she'll ask if you are ready. Say "Yes" and you get to choose your Mission. Three options appear on screen. Jett's Mission Trabaj's Mission Juan's Mission It doesn't really matter whose mission you choose first. You can find the guides to each mission in the following sections. Jett's Mission, go to the "A Preview of Things to Come" Section Trabaj's Mission go to the "Evil Released" Section Juan's Mission go to the "Blitz Armor Vapor" Section Choose whichever mission you want. Before you go Trabaj gives you the "Redwood" Page. ((A Preview of Things to Come)) The Redwood docks on the Reyle coastline and then Jett, Leslie, and Erin (I am assuming you brought her along) step out. Walk around and fight some random battles until everyone is at least level 90. After doing this save your game, and start walking south of where the Redwood is at. Eventually you'll see an armor that looks like a giant praying mantis. You can't get past it, and if you try to go around it will run in front of you, and block your path. Instead of trying to go past it, go west until you reach a town called Toilet. This is by luck the place you save Erin from Executor. Don't worry about being attacked by the people since they were under Executor's control and you already killed him. Walk around town, and you find out that it's been taken over by a group called BanD. If you need items go back to the Redwood since they are half-priced there and there's nothing new in Toilet. Go outside of the town and save your game. Then go back into town and go inside the building with spray paint on it that's says "BanD HQ". There's 5 people standing inside each holding a different instrument. Guy with guitar: What are you doing here, this is off limits! Jett: It would be, if this were your place to begin with. You think someone's not going to come in here when your group's name is spray painted on the building. Leslie: Yeah, and you couldn't even do a job with your graffiti, my 5- year old cousin is a better artist then that! Guy with trumpet: I've had enough of this let's kill them! Jett: "Let's kill them" can't you villains think of something better to say, you know how much of a cliché that is! At this point the members of BanD can't take anymore of Jett and Leslie's insults, and attack them. This is a little unfair since it's 5 Vs 3, but if you built your levels earlier you'll have the edge stat wise. Jett as always should Wyvern first thing since if your around level 90 like I suggested earlier you can get rid of about half of the HP of Sonora, Lagoon, Veil, and Squat's HP. Take out Sonora first since she has the deadly "Accordion Force" attack, which does about 5000 damage to all your party members. Then go after Lagoon it (its kind of hard to tell if it's supposed to be male or female) can heal the other party members. Target Veil next since his spells increase BanD's stats by a lot. Squat doesn't have any powerful attacks or specials, but he is fast, and will get 2 attacks in each round so have at him fourth. Then last, but certainly not least Cipher will be the only will be standing. (The game forces you save him for last) He doesn't hit hard at all when his buddies are up, but when everyone else is down he packs a wallop with that keyboard of his. After winning this long battle you get 500,000 Exp. and 100,000 Dac for your trouble. Then the giant praying mantis armor from earlier rips the roof off the building. Use the Save Thingy that Veil is KOed next to, and go outside. Pilot of Armor: Well look who it is, I see you did defeated my employees. Jett: Come down and prove to me that you aren't a wimp. Pilot: You think I'm a moron? Jett: Well lets me see your face, so I can climb up there and bash it in. The shield in front of the cockpit on the armor opens revealing . . . IDE! Leslie: What's that giant troll doll doing up there? Ide: I wish you weren't so beautiful, then I wouldn't . . . regret killing you as much! Ok this battle is fixed if you couldn't already tell. All of your attacks and pages do 1 damage to Mantis Armor, and Ide always uses his Massive Death attack defeating your party in one hit. Then a blue armor drops in and attacks Mantis Armor. You get to control the blue armor, and this time you will actually win since the armor's attack does 75,000 damage and Mantis Armor only has 50,000 HP. Mantis Armor bursts into flames, but Ide manages to escape in time. The mission ends at this point. A small creature that looks like a cross between a bear and a rabbit called a Rabear appears, because almost every RPG has to have some kind of cute animal character. This will always happen no matter which mission you chose first. Creature: My names is Lof, and now choose your next mission taru! ((Evil Released)) Now you control Trabaj, Wicks, and Bedge on the Nyckos coastline. Start heading east until you reach building with a satellite dish on it. This is Test Site 47, and Trabaj decides this is a good place to start looking for the cloaking device. You'll run into few soldiers in here since Jett was right about the N.S. being corrupt. These guys are complete wimps since everyone strong left join another army or become a mercenary, and you can kill them in one hit. Kill them anyway since they will give you a decent amount of Dac and Exp. Keep going down the gauntlet of soldiers until you reach the Save Thingy. Make Sure to use it since you have a hard battle up ahead. This is even worse then the one against BanD, so make sure you have plenty of healing items. Keep walking past the Save Thingy and eventually you will reach some suspended animation devices. By chance one of the device breaks open and a huge creature called Dork Farce breaks out. This creature has 70,000 HP, so this battle will take a while to win. Dork Farce doesn't do that much damage, but after a while it will start to add up, so make sure to have plenty of spare healing items with you. After taking out 50,000 HP Dork Farce becomes insanely more powerful, and counterattacks each time you attack it. Once you do 70,000 damage one of Dork Farce's tentacles hits the ceiling and it falls crushing Wicks and Bedge. (Who didn't see that one coming)? The ceiling has also blocked off the way you came in. Have Trabaj move past Dork Farce and go down the stairway. You will see a bed with a pillow on it, and a Save Thingy next to the stairway. Use the Pillow on the Save Thingy, and then save your game again. Walk down the hallway and you will see a guy with white hair standing there. White haired man: Hey, I got goods, and you'll need them for what's up ahead kid. Trabaj: Who are you? and the what the heck are you doing here?! White haired man: Name's Scythe and I came down here to sell some my stuff. Come on buy something for my trouble! Don't touch Scythe's goods with a 10-foot pole. He charges 5 times the normal price, and he will swipe another 1,000 Dac after that for "Handling". Ignore him and finish going down the hall until you reach a room with a huge machine in it. Trabaj: This must be the cloaking device, but how am I going to move this thing! Trabaj looks over, and sees an armor covered in rust, and missing an arm. Trabaj: Looks like it could use some serious repairs, but it might still work. Trabaj climbs up into the armor to find the former pilot in the cockpit dead and the keys left inside. Having no other choice Trabaj turns the key and the armor starts up! Trabaj: Not bad I think I'll call it the Evergreen. Trabaj uses the Evergreen to kick a hole in the wall and then manages to lift up the cloaking device. The armor then walks out only to find 3 armors waiting for it. Trabaj: Those guys I beat up earlier must have called for back up. Oh well let's see if my piloting skills are as good as they used to be. The battle starts and you get to control Trabaj's armor the Evergreen. It has 20000 HP, which isn't bad considering the shape it's in. Just attack the armors, they each go down in one hit. After winning the battle Trabaj takes the cloaking device back to the Redwood and the mission ends. Lof doesn't show up after you complete your second mission simply because, you are stuck with the remaining mission by default. CHEAP PROMOTIONAL ACTION BLITZ ARMOR V A P O R (You just knew I was going to put that in) You get to control Vapor Cobra a.k.a. Juan in this single man mission that parodies another . . . much better game. General: All right Juan, you have to recapture Velin by yourself. Juan: Why do I have to go in alone? General: It's easier to keep your cover that way. Oh yeah take these . . . The General hands Juan's a Flinger. Equip it even though it lowers your accuracy rate, it has a higher attack power then the first Rocket Launcher. (I'm assuming you got it) After getting the Flinger he hands you a walkie-talkie. General: Now move out soldier! Juan sneaks back into Velin. Don't get spotted by any of the soldiers or you'll have to fight them. Walk over to where the organ grinder is standing, Juan will think it's safe to stand there, but then the organ grinder removes his costume to reveal he's an A.S. commander in disguise! You have to do this to advance the plot, so don't try to avoid it. The A.S. commander has 100% evade rate against all attacks of course his attacks only do 1 damage no matter what your defense is. Help him out, by having Juan attack himself until he is Swounded. The screen fades to black and then you will reappear in a room with Juan and the commander from earlier inside of it. A.S. Commander: Look tell me everything you know, and do it quickly, so I can go off duty and have a few drinks. Then out of nowhere a black armor goes right through the ceiling narrowly missing Juan and the A.S Commander. Armor Pilot: I am Draft, the carrier of Booze! Do you want the Booze! A.S. Commander: Yes! Take advantage of the distraction and escape outside. There you will be confronted by the A.S. Commander's monkey holding an Uzi (Anyone who's an organ grinder or posing as one as to have a simian sidekick, it just wouldn't seem right without one) Two health bars appear on screen, one for Juan and the other for Uzi Monkey. Uzi Monkey does all sort flips, slides, and jumps to dodge your rockets, none of which Juan is able to do making this battle extremely difficult. The damage by Monkey's bullets isn't much of a problem if you equipped Juan with the best protection up to this point. Juan should be equipped with the first rocket launcher since it's a lot more accurate then the second one, which YOU! should have gotten earlier. After winning the battle Juan gets 25,000 Exp., 10,000 Dac, his maximum HP increased by 500, and his maximum BP increased by 100. The health bars disappear and you get to continue your mission. Keep avoiding the soldiers until you find a dead end with a Save Thingy near-by. Save your game and then walk over to the dead end. Juan: Looks like no one's coming finally can take a breather. Then a huge armor jumps onto the roof from the other side of the building. It's Blitz Armor from the beginning of the game. It fires a missile nearly missing Juan and blowing up half of a nearby building. Juan turns around to see the massive armor pointing its weapons at him. The health bars reappear and the battle starts. Blitz Armor has a LOT more health then Uzi Monkey. Juan always gets hit at least once by each swarm of upcoming missiles. Hopefully Juan's at least level 130 by now. You can shoot at Blitz Armor, but it only does 1 HP of damage per hit meaning there's no way you can win . . . yet at least. When Juan gets low on HP he grabs the walkie-talkie and contacts the General. Juan: Vapor here, there's a huge armor attacking me and I can barely damage it. What should I do? General: There's an EMP (Electromagnetic Pulse) Cannon in one of the guard towers. Find it, and you will be able to stop the armor's functions. The battle ends and the health bars disappear once again. Start running towards the north edge of town where the guard towers are located. Be careful though, because Blitzarmor is following destroying everything in its path including buildings to get you. Don't worry about getting into any random battles, because all the soldiers are trying to escape from being crushed too. Eventually you reach three guard towers each with a number on it. Go into number 3 and climb up the stairway. Don't worry about the get the treasure chests, they all have Low-Potions in them which restore 1 HP. When Juan reaches the top walk over to the EMP Cannon. A Short FMV starts up with Juan firing the EMP Cannon at Blitzarmor causing it to short circuit, then the cockpit opens manually, and Damon jumps out into the guard tower. End of FMV. A normal boss battle starts up at this point. This one is harder then last time, because you only have Juan in your party. Damon isn't much stronger then before which is a relief. He can use All Heal to restore his HP to maximum, but won't unless he's at 30% of his maximum HP or lower. Talents aren't worth using, just attack Damon and feel free to use as many items as you need since you will have a chance to restock soon. Once Damon gets down into his near-Swounded position the battle ends. Then he teleports out of there along with Blitz Armor. Walk back downstairs, then go outside and you'll see that what's left of Velin has been deserted. Juan then reports into base. Juan: I have some good news and some bad news. General: Good news first. Juan: We've regained control of Velin, but half of the town was destroyed in the process. General: Don't worry about that right now, where are the civilians? Juan: The town's completely abandoned except for me, they must have been captured or something. General: Well start working on finding them! The scenario ends at this point and the game asks if you want to save. Do so, and continue. ((Destiny Awaits)) Everyone (Jett, Leslie, Trabaj, Erin, Juan, Jett's daughter, and the A.S. Guard) has gathered back together on the Redwood. Jett: Thank you for saving Joanne, Juan, I owe you big time for this. Juan: Don't worry commander, I was just doing my duty. Jett: I'll have to talk to the general later about getting your promoted, any way Toilet has agreed to be a silent ally to Reyle now. How did everyone else missions go? Trabaj: Wicks and Bedge were killed, but I managed to retrieve the cloaking device and an armor. Jett: An ARMOR?!!!!!!! Trabaj: Yeah it's pretty beat up, but it still works. Jett: How did the rest of your mission go Juan? Juan: I managed to reclaim Velin, but half the town was wiped out, and now we have a missing POW crisis. Just then Cigar comes running inside . . . Cigar: Sir, we have a broadcast coming from someone named Sirpirtincus. Jett goes running into the communication room and the others follow him close behind. He turns on the two-way A/V device to find Sirpirtincus talking. Sirpirtincus: Impressive work Commander Shinuzzo, I heard you managed to regain control of Velin, but you can't really have a city with no people now can you? Jett: Cut the stupid questions Sirpirtincus, and tell us what your demands? Sirpirtincus: What makes you think I want something? Jett: Nobody captures civilians without a reason. Sirpirtincus: You catch on quick I see if you want to see the hostages alive bring the Raise Zirconium Ring to the Old L.S. HQ. Jett falls to the floor trembling in fear. Sirpirtincus: You still remember I see . . . The TV screen changes to a flashback that takes place at Old L.S. H.Q. You see a man walking towards the exit of the base followed by a group of soldiers. A small boy watches this from the second floor of the building. Then a small group of terrorists break down the gate in the front of the base and come dashing inside firing every where. The L.S. Soldiers counter-attack with their own guns, and charge towards the terrorists. The boy looks down at his one of the soldiers and watches as one of the L.S. soldiers gets shot in the chest. He runs down the stairway onto the first floor and heads towards the soldier. He tries to help the man out, but it's too late. Man: Son . . . take cover . . . there's no way . . . to stop the PAIN! . . . everything is fading fast . . . I can't hold on anymore ugh . . . Jett then removes his father's sword, and charges towards the terrorist that fired the shot at his dad. He leaps up into the air and thrusts the sword into the side of the terrorist's face. The flashback ends at this point . . . Sirpirtincus: I still can't believe that you did that. That an innocent child could do such a thing . . . oh well, if you don't learn from history it will repeat itself . . . see you soon. The A/V Device turns off at this point. Jett: Sirpirtincus... I oh... Trabaj: We have to help those people out, but where's the ring at? Jett: St.Omit's Church . . . priest has it. Jett passes out. Trabaj: We better get going. Erin: Is Jett going to be ok? Trabaj: Don't worry the doctors will be able to take care of him. Leslie: Who's coming along? Trabaj: You, Juan, and me. Erin: I'll come too. Trabaj: Sorry, but it would be safer if you stayed here. Erin: Please, I want to help out. Juan: You can help us out by staying here with Jett. Cigar: I doubt you can the 3 of you can take the forces Sirpirtincus has. Just then Wicks and Bedge come into the room. Wicks: Sorry, about what happened at 47 sir. Trabaj: Don't worry about it, I'm glad you two are alive, but how did you get out from that debris any way? Bedge: They didn't use that strong of materials to build the place that's why it fell, so easily. Wicks: Basically we tunneled our way out. Trabaj: Listen I could really use your guys help right now we have a serious problem on our hands. Wicks: You're the captain it's our job to follow your orders. Cigar: Be careful this time, considering what happened last time. Erin: Yeah, Sirpirtincus killed Derek, and almost got Jett too. Cigar: What are you talking about, and who's Derek? Erin: When Jett rescued me in Toilet, a man named Derek helped as well, but he was killed when we met up with Sirpirtincus on Mount Grief. Cigar: Crap! This might be a lost cause even with five people. Trabaj: Well it's all we have to work with, so let's make sure we are fully prepared for what is coming. Cigar: You better take this you are going to need ALL the help you can get. Cigar gives Trabaj 50,000 Dac. Use this money to stock up on healing items make sure to buy at least 50 Scalpels, Efers, 1-ups plus 5 Pillows. This spends all 50,000 Dac, but you'll need all this stuff, besides the Arsenal and Protection shops don't have anything new. After doing this Trabaj and the others automatically decide to rest up. During the night there's a loud explosion and Leslie wakes up. Leslie: Oh please tell that's not the engine again, I just repaired it last week. Then the floor in the cabin starts to break apart and water comes rushing in. Leslie gets up and runs to the cabin door only to find that she can't get it open. Leslie: The water pressure is too strong there's no way out of here! ((FMV Sequence starts)) The door can't support the force of the water, and breaks hitting Leslie, who gets sent flying through a window and into the sea below. ((End of FMV)) The game asks if you want to save, and then tells you to insert disc 2. With this action chapter 1 comes to a close. IV. Chapter 2 The Uprising ((Prisoners of War)) Leslie awakens to find herself at Criminal's Paradise. Standing next to the bar is the Buff Guy. Buff Guy: You must have run into serious trouble, you were nearly dead when I found you. Leslie: Where are the others? Buff Guy: You were the only one there, no one else survived. Leslie: Well I'm going to prove you wrong. Buff Guy: You should rest some more. Leslie: There's no time innocent lives are at stake! Buff Guy: In that case let's get going. The Buff Guy joins Leslie! His stats are all at 999, which means he does 999,999 damage with each attack, his HP is 99999, he doesn't have any BP, but the Buff Guy is insanely powerful as it is. His other drawback is all he can do is attack in battle since you don't get to control him, but BG's power more than makes up for this fault. Now leave the Criminal's Paradise and go to St.Omit's Church. Inside you will find the Priest who's been severely injured. Leslie: These wounds oh my . . . Priest: Don't worry . . . about me . . . a group called . . . BanD showed up looking for the ring. Leslie: Are they still here? Priest: Yes they are . . . in the shrine . . . below the church. Buff Guy: That's all we need to know! A hole in the altar opens and a man dressed in a white lab coat climbs out of it. Doctor: I'm afraid you know to much already, but I've been sent to make sure that the information you found out will become useless. Buff Guy: Don't tell me that you are with those BanD pansies I'll knock you all senseless! Doctor: Don't get over confidant I brought along a secret weapon to deal with any trouble that we might face. Buff Guy: You damn villains and your BS "secret weapons". Why can't you just fight us yourself, who the hell do you think you are? Doctor: Since I'll be using your bodies, minds, and souls in my biggest experiment yet after I enslave you. I am Doctor Calvin head of BanD's warfare department. Dr.Calvin then draws a remote control and pushes a button. A huge beam of energy hits Leslie and the Buff Guy knocking them out before they can even react to what happened. After Dr.Calvin's victory, BanD and Ide enter from the hole into the main part of the church. Ide walks over to where Leslie is lying unconscious and smiles at her. Ide: She was with Jett at Toilet . . . hmmm she's way too beautiful to be used for one of our lab rats. Dr.Calvin: Then should we do with her? Ide: Let me handle it. I don't care about the other one you can do whatever is necessary to him. Dr.Calvin goes over and tries to pick up the Buff Guy; of course he can't even get him off the ground. Dr.Calvin: I need some help here. Ide tosses the "Raise" Zirconium Ring to Dr.Calvin who uses to teleport BG, Leslie and him self out of the church. Ide: 1 down, 12 to go now where to strike next? Voice: How about nowhere? Ide: Who's there? Jett comes running into the church with his two swords drawn. He charges towards Ide, but he steps out of the way at the last second and Jett ends up impaling Squat instead. Ide: I thought your skills were better then that brother? Oh well we still have the upper hand 5 against 1. Jett: What are you doing here? Ide: I came here for the ring of course. Jett: How did you know about that? Ide: You know your "supposed" friend, the A.S. guard, he was spying for us all along. He also was the one who sunk the Redwood. Jett: Well you still aren't getting the ring! Ide: You are a little too late as always Jett, One of my employees already has left with it. Jett: Well at least I can topple the chain of command now! Ide picks up Leslie and walks towards the front door. Jett tries to be heroic, and moves into Ide's path. Ide just kicks him aside and continues walking. Jett tries to catch up with him, but gets surrounded by the remaining 4 members of BanD. This fight is a LOT! harder than last time since you only have Jett. Two uses of Wyvern will almost take out all of BanD's HP, but the problem is can you last long enough to pull it off. Jett always gets a free round to start with, so take advantage of this and use Hyper. The second and third turns should be spent using Wyvern. Then it's BanD's turn to attack. Actually the only one attacking will be Cipher but he does about 5000-7000 damage, so you should be concerned. Sonora charges for Accordion Force, Veil will use spells to increase BanD stats, and finally Lagoon will heal about 1000- 2000 of the damage you did earlier. Then it will be Jett's turn again, attack Sonora hopefully Jett's powerful enough to take out her remaining HP. Then have Jett use a Scalpel to heal himself. Repeat the same plan you used on Sonora, to take out Lagoon, Veil and finally Cipher. After this long battle Jett gets rewarded with 1,000,000 Exp., which means you will gain quite a few levels, and 150,000 Dac. Go down into the hole and then use a pillow on the Save Thingy. Then save your game of course, you don't want to have to go through that again. There is an entrance to a dungeon which has some good stuff that BanD must have missed/not cared about including the average sword, helmet, armor, and a Taser Cola (TM). I won't go into depth here since the dungeon is only one floor and not that long, but keep Jett's HP up since the monsters can do a lot of damage. Build Jett up to at least level 150, so you can use Jett Stream in the upcoming boss battle. After you are finished in the dungeon use the Save Thingy again and make sure Jett is at full HP/BP. Go back up into the church, and then head outside. Ide will be facing the other direction, stomping his foot, as if he were waiting for something or someone. Leslie is lying on the ground next to him. Ide: Damn Islanders they should have arrived by now. Jett: That's unfortunate . . . for you! Ide: I knew that those four were outmatched from the beginning, but they didn't even last long enough for me to escape! Oh well I'm make sure to be more careful dealing with you this time. Ide turns around and yes, another boss battle starts up. The result of this battle has an impact on the rest of the game, and if you are trying for the best ending you have to win this battle. There's also another good reason to beat Ide, he has the Barrel of the RBSMG 1000000, and without it, you can't get Juan's best weapon later on. Oh yeah for more motivation you won't be able to get Leslie in your party for the rest of the game, if Jett loses this battle. I won't give the reason why, because it would spoil part of the plot later on. Since Leslie is one of the best characters I advise you not to screw up, or you will regret it! Anyway with that said, I will now start with the course of action for the battle. What makes this battle insanely hard is that Ide will always start the battle 3 times faster then Jett, no matter what level is he on. Since Ide always goes first due to his extreme speed, he will always use Operations Ide, which doubles all of his stats except for HP. This means he is now 6 times faster then Jett and you will be getting nailed with attacks almost non-stop. Don't bother with Wyvern; unless you built up to level 300, which I doubt. On the bright side Ide's attacks only do about 1000 damage apiece assuming, you have the Average Armor and Helmet equipped, plus you are at level 150 like I suggested earlier. The easy way to beat Ide relies on luck since a simple Hyper, Blood Blade, Jett Stream combo (make sure to do those in that order) will be enough to win the battle. Of course since Blood Blade has a 1 in 4 chance of working this might mean a few defeats in the process, but if you lose just press the Reset button and try again until it works. It may be troublesome, but winning is well worth the effort. Oh yeah Jett gains 300,000 exp. and 50,000 Dac to top off the rewards for the winning this annoying battle. The scene here changes slightly depending on the outcome of the battle. ++Jett: Careful? Try more like careless. Jett picks Leslie and then looks up to see a group of airships heading towards the church. Jett: Those must be the Islanders looks like this would be a good time to leave. Jett following his own advice starts running towards Hole.++ The Islanders airships land near St.Omit's church. (There's a huge empty field near there in case you are wondering how they successfully did that) One of the sides open and an Islander member steps out who happens to be the A.S. guard who destroyed the Redwood. ++RENGADE Traitor (This what the game refers to the A.S. guard from now on): We lost again?! I better go inform the medics. The RENEGADE Traitor then walks back into the airship and the screen goes black++ --RENEGADE Traitor: How did the mission go Commander? Ide: Complete victory for us, now take the woman aboard the airship, and let's go, so we can move on to the next stage in our plan. Ide carries Leslie, and the three of them enter the airship. Shortly after that the airships take off and the screen goes black.-- (Anything between the ++ means that was the outcome of winning, the -- means what happens if you lose, and the part with neither ++ or -- happens either way.) --Sometime later Jett awakens inside of the church--,++or if you won the battle Jett will return to the chruch later on after Ide has left.++ Either way BanD will stay be lying the floor. You now have two choices... "Finish BanD off." or "Let them live for now at least." You can either kill BanD off, and not have to fight them for the rest of the game or spare their lives. You will probaly be tempted to kill BanD off, but there's a good reason why you shouldn't. Here's what happen if you decided to kill off BanD. Jett will automatically swing his sword and kill off the remaining members of BanD with one swipe. The Priest will then stand up and speak. Priest: You just killed off 4 innocent people, St.Omit has been disgraced by your actions. Jett: They aren't innocent! I was nearly killed twice, by them. Priest: Still that doesn't justify your actions. You will now have no other choice then to walk out of the church and the next part of Chapter 2 will begin. This is what will happen, if you let BanD live. Jett: I can't kill them, they are just pawns in Ide's moronic game of chess. The Priest will then stand up and limp over to Jett. Jett: You have been wounded badly, don't worry I will return with help for you. Priest: You spared the lives of them, even after they tried to kill you. I shall return you for the mercy which has been shown. Wyvern gets upgraded to Genesis Wyvern which is twice as powerful as the original!, but you will have to fight BanD again later on. You can get Genesis Wyvern later on, if you killed BanD, but the next battles will be harder without it, so I suggest you let them live for now. Have Jett leave the chruch and View of the Other Side starts. ((View of the Other Side)) The game asks if you want to save, do so unless you lost the battle with Ide. The next part is fairly long, so make you don't have turn off the game for the next half hour or so. Win or Lose against Ide the next part of the game will remain the same. You now get to see the enemies point of view once more. Inferak: It's been three weeks and they still haven't handed over the Zirconium ring! Overlord: I don't think it's going to happen, tell Sirpirtincus that he has my permission to kill the hostages. Inferak: I think this would be good time to finish off Reyle sir. Overlord: Fine send in Kacinne on the way out. Inferak walks out of the room and Kacinne enters. Kacinne: Thank you for the honor of requesting my services m'lord. Overlord: Quit the praising! I have an extremely important job for you. Kacinne: Whatever the task is, I shall succeed in completing it. Overlord: Take a unit of soldiers and finish the job of conquering in Reyle. Then the next step is to attack the independent cities Toliet and Hyzeia. Finally we will destroy Nyckos and Ujavz, then we will launch the Grand Bliss and control space as well! Hyhyhyhyhyhya! Kacinne: I'm not too worried about the Reyle, Nyckos, and the independent cities, but are you sure about double-crossing Ujavz? Overlord: Don't be too concerned about your homeland we might take some casualties in process, but a few lives mean nothing in the end. Kacinne then draws his spear and points it towards Overlord. Kacinne: The people I grew up are more important then your stupid plans for total domination. Overlord: Don't make me call security in here. Kacinne: Why? You managed to progress this far, but can't handle me, by yourself? Overlord: I have thousands of others capiable of replacing you, so don't even try it. Kacinne: Yes, but can you replace yourself? Overlord: Why would I need to, no one can get in my way now! Kacinne: You forget one thing in your plans to control the world . . . BanD. Overlord: Those scum that have refused my offers to join us what can they do? Kacinne: I'm glad you asked that. Kacinne then aims his spear for Overlord's chest and impales him even before he can realize the betrayal. Overlord on his dying breath triggers the silent alarm. A few seconds later three of the A.S.'s finest have enter Overlord's chamber and seeing they he has been murdered start firing at Kacinne. He easily dodges the bullets and runs for the window which takes up almost one full side of the massive room. Kacinne takes a flying leap through the window sending glass flying in all directions. Instead of falling to his death several miles below which is what would of normally happen, he lands on an airship a few feet below the window. Kacinne enters the airship through the top door. The airship then flies up to the same height as the window and the co-pilot presses the fire button which sends several missiles at the three soldiers who are still shocked from the recent turn of events. The missiles make contact with their target, and the result is splattered across the walls. (FMV starts up here) Then the airship disappears and starts firing missiles at the building. The SAM (surface to air missile) sites on the ground start counterattacking with their own firepower, but can't find the target and eventually come crashing down destroying their starting point, and parts of the city as well. (End of FMV) The game then turns over to Juan who is in a prison cell. The cell just happens to be in the Aqert HQ which is presently being destroyed. The back wall of the cell then gets clipped by a missile leaving a hole large enough for Juan to escape from. You now have 10 minutes to escape before the building is completly blown apart. First use the Save Thingy in one of the corners of Juan's cell. Then go down the hallway and you'll see the 1483 area of cells. There are 26 prisoners there including Scythe! Free all of them using the key dropped on the floor by one of the guards who fled in terror after the attack on the Aqert HQ. These people are all P.O.W.s from the R.S (well except for Scythe of course.) and will help you later on if you free them. Scythe does manage to escape even if you didn't free him, but he will join your party (for now) if you saved everyone else. You will still have about 8 1/2 minutes left, if you freed everyone. At the end of the block which is furthest away from Juan's cell is a stairway and an elevator. You can choose which one you want to use to reach the bottom. The elevator is quicker of course, but you can't get any of the items which are on the stairway. I always goes with the stairway myself since the stuff you can get there is worth wasting the time. **Here's the information on the stairway (if you took the elevator you can scroll down until you reach the other set of stars) Ok there's 28 flights of stairs total, 2 flights for each floor. There's door at the end of each flight. The last door is the entrance to the basement, but all the other doors lead to hallways. To avoid wasting your time travelling down the wrong halls, I made this list of where the items are at. Oh yeah the floor you currently on is painted on the wall, so you don't have to worry about keeping track. Floor 11 Second Door Dark Sickle which is a weapon for Scythe. Floor 9 First Door Baseball Cap which is Light Headgear Floor 7 Second Door Bazooka which is a weapon for Juan Floor 4 First Door Machine Gun Floor 2 Second Door Taser Cola (TM)** No matter which way you took to reach the bottom there will always be a guard there. It's the same type as the ones in the Blitz Armor Vapor section, so you won't have any trouble here. After you win then the battle you will get a key to a certain vehicle well except for on foot or unicycle, but you shouldn't have gotten either of those to start with. Information about the different vehicles is in the Extra Stuff section under Street Crash. An intresting thing to note here is that one of the cars is called the Dasvarton-Dartin' does this mean he's still alive? Anyways here are the controls for Street Crash. Up=North Down=South Left=West Right=East X=Fires your weapon []=Speed up O=Slow Down /\=Exit Vehicle (This can only be done when you are completely stopped) Start=Pause There are two bars on the bottom of the screen. One is for your Armor and the other is for your Weapons. The Armor decreases whenever you get hit or crash into something. The higher your vehicile's armor rating the more punishment it can take before exploding. The Weapons bar tells you how close you are to running of ammo. You will be fire a certain number of shots until your out of ammo. The number of shots you can fire will depend your Firepower rating, and the higher it is means you will be attack more times before you have no offensive power. The Weapons bar unlike the Armor Bar does slowly refill over time. The speed at which you regain your ammo also depends your Firepower rating. Enough with the explanation onto the mini-game! I suggest going taking the left side since there is some decent equipment and items you can get. The right side has a ton of enemies which means you can get some serious EXP here, if you have one of the weaker vehicles though you will probaly get killed. Anyways the game will give you a chance to equip the new stuff you found, and then Juan (and Scythe, if you got him) will step out of the vehicle and you will have the Helicopter. Have Juan attack the helicopter, and since Scythe won't be able to hit the Helicopter (he doesn't have a long-range weapon) just have him use items to heal Juan. The battle will only last a few rounds, but without Scythe this battle will take longer since Juan will have attack one turn and then heal the next. Anyway the rewards will vary on which vehicle you had earlier. Add 10000 Exp for each kill you got during Street Crash. Hearse: 400,000 EXP and 50000 Dac Tank: 500,000 EXP and 75000 Dac Dasvarton-Dartin': 600,000 EXP and 100,000 Dac Golf Cart 700,000 EXP and 125,000 Dac Hyper Bike 1,600,000 EXP and 300,000 Dac Snowmobile 2,000,000 EXP and 350,000 Dac On Foot* 2,500,000 EXP and 500,000 Dac Unicycle 5,000,000 EXP and 1,000,000 Dac *This only if you started out on foot, if you left a vehicle at anytime you will get half the EXP and Dac for what you started out on. After the battle Scythe will leave your party, if he's in it. Use the Save Thingy which appears after you beat the Helicopter and then exit the street area. ((My Friend, My Foe)) Anything in ++ from now on will be added or changed, if you won the battle against Ide. You now regain control of Jett and are outside of Hole. Don't go into the town yet, instead head towards the shoreline that you started Trabaj's mission out on. To the north of it is a small cabin. (which you couldn't go in earlier, since it was locked and nobody could open it, since Jett didn't have the Master of Unlocking Talent yet.) Enter the cabin and inside will be a woman and Trabaj! Have Jett talk to the woman, since Trabaj is in a bed asleep. Woman: Get out of here thief, before I kill you! Jett: Calm down, I'm not here to rob you. Woman: Then what are you doing here? Jett: My friend has been wounded and I'm searching for someone who can heal her. Woman: Well don't look at me, I'm not trained in using magic. Jett: Is it ok, if I leave her to rest? Woman: What's in it for me? Jett: I have prisoners from Velin to rescue, I don't have time to be looking around for someone else to help me. Woman: Please let me coming with you. Jett: Well this is intresting, a few seconds ago I was asking for your help, but now you want to come with me? Woman: My family is from there, I can't just stand here, and hope someone rescues them Jett: You can come with me on one condition. Woman: What's that? Jett: ++Leslie and++ Trabaj can stay here until we get back. Woman: All right, I guess that there's no other way. Jett: Wait who's going to stay here in and watch over ++Leslie and++ Trabaj. Woman: Wait... how do you know the man's name? Jett: Let's just say I'm a friend of his. Woman: You aren't much of a friend to him, he was nearly dead when Erik found him. Jett: It's not my fault that we were attacked by BanD. Woman: BanD? My brother said something about joining them a while back. Jett: What's his name? Woman: Kacinne Ruane. Jett: That name sounds familiar wait, isn't he one of the nine generals of Aqert? Woman: Yes. Jett: You do realize that you may have to kill him sooner or later, if you join me. Woman: I won't help you when that time comes. Jett: Well it shouldn't be anytime too soon. What's your name anyways? Woman: Isabella. Your's? Jett: It's Jett, well we better get moving there's no time to waste. Well your odds against Sirpirtincus just went up since Isabella is now with Jett. Now equip Isabella with the Baseball Cap, if you got earlier, or make a trip to Hole and buy a Bandanna. You might want to go Hole even if you got the Baseball Cap, because you will need some items for the upcoming battles especially IV's and Tranfusions. Jett: There has to be another way inside! Isabella: Shouldn't there be a ladder or some sort of fire escape on one of the sides? Jett: I think there was secret entrance in case of emergencies, but it's been about 28 years, since the last time I was here. Isabella: How about we just knock on the front door? Jett: You're kidding right? Isabella: No, I'll hit the door, then we run and hide behind one of the corners of the building. While the security is searching for us, we'll sneak in. Jett: It'll be quicker then trying to find the secret entrance, let's give a shot. Isabella and Jett both punch the front door lightly and then make a break for behind the corner. A few seconds the door opens and two A.S. members come out. Guard 1: What was that? Guard 2: Just a bo...oops I always say the wrong thing in situations like these. Isabella: These two don't seem that bright. Jett: Shhhh! You'll blow our cover. Guard 1: Who was that? Guard 2: ... Guard 1: Don't do the ellipse thing something bad always happens when someone says that. Isabella: Can't we just kill them, and go inside? Jett: I don't want draw any attention to us, at least until after we get the hostages out of there. The two guards then walk back into the building, but of course they forget to close the door. Now enter the building and stand behind one of the crates on the left side. The two guards from earlier enter the Death Room from one of the doors on the other side. They then walk forward towards the center of the room and then head straight for another door, which one of them opens, and they go through it. This time they do remember to close the door though. Follow behind them and head toward the door, but before you can reach it Jett will kneel down and look at a message which has been engraved into the floor. R.I.P. L.S. Commander Brigon Shinuzzo Loving Husband and Father Born August 30, 2575 Died June 22, 2611 Jett: This is where my father was killed by that bastard Sirpirtincus, I can't it anymore, that asshole must be killed now! All the doors that lead to the Death Room open and 5 A.S. come out of each making a total of 20 A.S. that charge at Jett and Isabella. You now fight 4 battles which each are against 5 soldiers and get progressively harder. You won't be given a chance to heal up between each battle, so try to finish them quickly. You are well rewarded with 600,000 EXP and 200,000 Dac for completing this series of fights. After this point the random encounters here will start getting extremely hard, so keep your item count up. Don't go through the door you saw the two A.S. go through earlier yet, instead check out the other three doors lead to supply rooms and you can find some Battle Armor and 2 Taser Colas. The Battle Armor can't be used by anyone currently, but hold onto for when Trabaj rejoins your party. Now enter the main door, and follow slowly behind the two A.S. Eventually the A.S members will turn around. Guard 1: It's the intruders run for it! Guard 2: Wait a sec...that's Jett. Guard 1: Are you sure about that? Guard 2: Trust me on this one. Jett: Do I know you two? Guard 1: Yeah it's us Wicks and Bedge. Jett: I'm surprised that you survived the Redwood sneaking. What was up with the moron act earlier? Bedge: Most of the lower-ranking A.S. are complete idiots, if we had showed any signs of intelligence we would have been caught by someone higher up. Jett: Where did you get those uniforms from? Bedge: We found a couple of spare ones in a locker on the 3rd floor. Jett: Are there anymore? Wicks: Nope. Jett: Well that's going to make things much harder. Where's Sirpirtincus at? Wicks: He's on the roof, but be careful security is extremely tight on the floor below that. Isabella: Tell us where the hostages are at? Bedge: Hold on, can we trust her Jett? Jett: Well she's a merc, but pretty loyal considerating her occupation. Isabella: I'm here to save my family and that's it, don't try to pull me into your personal revenge, because I don't care at all. Wicks: Yep, she's the mercenary type all right. Isabella: Have you all forgot that we have work to do, and do you plan to answer my question? Bedge: They are somewhere on the 4th floor. Isabella: Can you be less vague on the location? Wicks: That's all we were able to find out. Wicks and Bedge join your group now. Make sure to equip one of them with the Machine Gun, if you got it earlier. Continue down the hallway and there will be a stairway that leads to the 2nd floor. Go up it, and the party will keep walking until they reach a door on the right. Inside the room there is a Save Thingy and a bed which Jett will collapse onto. Isabella: What are you doing?! This is no time for sleep?! Jett: The last time I spoke to my father... The screen goes black and then the 9-year old version of Jett appears with Brigon in the same room as your party currently is. Brigon: Jett, this mission is highly dangerous, and there's a good chance that I won't return alive. Jett: Then why are you going Dad? Brigon: The L.S. can't let this base fall into the hands of criminals. This is our last one, we can't lose it or, "The World will be Forever Damned." Jett: I remember my teacher talking about that in school. Wasn't it said by someone during the Last Jihad. Brigon: Yes, it was said by Saint Omit's archfoe... The screen then goes black again, and then the game returns to the present. Isabella: Jett, what the hell are you doing?! Jett awakens and then stands up. Bedge: Are you ok Jett? Jett: Yeah, I just had another flashback. Let's get going. The group's HP/AP has been restored now, so use the Save Thingy and then continue on. Exit the room and walk east until Jett speaks. Jett: I hear footsteps someone's heading this way. Isabella: I'm sure that we can deal with them. Three figures approach the group. It's none other then Damon, Lani and Inferak. Inferak: Shinuzzo is the intruder?! Damon: Come on, you knew that he would eventually show up. Inferak: Well, you two can deal with him, I have orders to deliver. Inferak runs back towards the direction he came from. Isabella: I can't let him get away! Isabella leaves the group and chases after Inferak. Damon: Well that just made my job easier. Jett: What are you doing here? Damon: I've been waiting for you. Trust me it wouldn't be like the last two times. Now we are playing for keeps. Damon lifts his hand in the air and the Zirconium ring on his finger starts to glow. Jett: Didn't I already take your ring? Damon: I found a new one, and it was the last place you would ever look. Jett: Tell me where? Damon: Years ago I saw Camerta wearing a ring that looked like the Raise one. At that time I had no idea what it was, but a few weeks ago I remembered about it, and then dug up Camerta's body. There it was waiting for someone to extract it's power. Now give me the Raise ring, or you will be responible for thousands of deaths! Jett: I wouldn't even, if I could. Damon: What exactly do you mean? I know that you have it! Jett: Actually BanD does now. Damon: You double-crossed the R.S.? I didn't you had it in you. Jett: I'm not like you, I gave the ring over to the rightful owners of it the Church! Damon: The rings were created to prevent something from what happened 7000 years ago from repeating what happened, not for some religious pacifists to use for Show and Tell! Jett: You are calling the great Saint Omit a "religious pacifist?" Damon: Omit never had anything to do with religion. He was just a soldier like you and me, who happened to help win the Final Jihad. There are other soldiers that fought who did more, but they remain lost in the passing of time. Face it Jett we are the only thing that keeps the world from total anarchy, and nothing is given to us in return. Jett: We both had a chance of being the next king of Reyle, you could have taken the job. Damon: Yeah, and I would have been the one killed instead of Fendomer. I rather have the entire world then some worthless kingdom that can't protect it's leader. This battle is just another step towards my ulimate goal, and now the rightful one shall be chosen! Jett: I can't let what has happened in the past interfere with the present. Our former friendship means nothing now! This battle is extremely difficult, even more then ones against Ide and BanD. I suggest that Jett is at least level 180, and Wicks and Bedge are at 130. Jett should use his Abilites and whoever you gave the Machine Gun should attack, while the remaining charcter should use items to heal everyone. Damon does use his abilites from the beginning of the game and a new one "DeLevel" which will half everyone in your party's level along with their maxmium HP/AP and stats for the remainder of the battle. The worst part is that Damon uses the ability at the start of the battle, but on the bright side he can only use it once. Damon doesn't use All Heal this time around, so that will make your life easier. Lani doesn't have any abilites, but whenever she hits someone it gives her the Sap condition, while the party member gets the Bleeding condition. Don't even bother with the Wyvern page, if you still have it since an effective Blood Blade/Jett Stream combo will do more damage. Genesis Wyvern however if, you have it can still deal at least 9000 damage (I'm assuming you are around 90 after "DeLevel"), and you will hurt both Damon and Lani. When you finally win this battle you walk away with 700,000 exp. and 200,000 dac for your efforts. Plus Jett finally gets a new left hand sword (took long enough) "Hydraulics". After the battle ends Damon will fall to the ground bleeding in several areas of his body. Lani seems to be barely even scratched from the battle. Damon: Even though I'm dying, I still live on... With those last words Damon passes away. Jett: Damon... where did things go wrong? Wicks: Wait... how come it looks like we barely even touched her. Bedge: You're right, something odd is going on here... Lani removes the Zirconium ring from Damon's cold lifeless fingers, and uses it teleport out of the L.S. H.Q. Wicks: She got away, and took the ring! We have to do something! Bedge: We have more important matters to deal with right now like rescuing the hostages, and defeating Sirpirtincus. Jett: Would you just two shut up, so I can mourn my best friend in peace! Wicks: Didn't you say just before the battle that your friendship no longer meant anything? Jett: Yes, but there's still memories... just let me be alone. Bedge: Looks like it's up to the two of us now. Bedge and Wicks start run through the hallway that Isabella chased Inferak down. Jett: What did Damon mean by his last words... The game asks if you want to save make sure to do so, since you don't want to go through all of that again. ((Where it All Begun)) After the option to save the game, Jett passes out again, and the screen goes black. Then a flashback begins... A teenage boy is sitting on a bed. The background looks familar, but it looks a lot cleaner then the last time we saw it. Three more children enter two of which are boys, and the third is a girl. Boy #1: Hey Jett, are you coming to the N.S. recruitment today. Jett: We aren't going to get hired, they don't think that we are old enough to handle it. Boy #2: They are desperate for help these days, besides we can past their stupid little test. Jett: Didn't you hear what happened to Ceanz Nyckos, he was killed in less then a minute! Boy #2: Ceanz Nyckos was a stuck-up brat who had no fighting skills at all. He wasn't even born into the Nyckos family! Jett: True, but I doubt even with the four of us that we would do much better. Boy #2: I don't about you, but I have a plan, and that is to reunite Lacio. Jett: Give it up Damon, Lacio was broken up for a reason. Damon: One day Lacio will be whole again, and that shall be under my rule! Boy #1: Damon, this power trip thing is really getting old. Damon: Do you want to be just another generic soldier Trabaj, or do you want the world to remember you even long after you're dead! Teenage Girl: He's right you know. In the Last Jihad thousands of soldiers fought just as hard, or even better then Omit, but who gets all the credit. Omit, OMIT, OMIT! I'm so damn sick of hearing about how great Saint Omit was! He was a fake, and everyone knows it. Damon: I couldn't agree with you more... The flashback ends at this point, and the game returns to the present. Wicks: Why does he keep passing out like that? Bedge: Maybe it's some sort of head trauma? Wicks: Well what should we do? Voice: You should hand him over to us! Bedge: Who's there? Four figures emerge from the shadows, it's the gang members from the Criminal's Paradise! Gang Member #3: What are these guys doing on our turf? Gang Member #5: Isn't that Shinuzzo with those two guys? Gang Member #4: Looks like our lucky day! Gang Member #2: Nobody's here to save your ass this time! Gang Member #4: We're going to be rolling in Dac after we finish this one! Bedge: Let's make a break for it! Before Wicks can respond he finds several bullets through his chest. Bedge: Oh no! Not this again! More shots are fired and Bedge finds himself on the floor next to Wicks. Bedge: Better luck next time... The four gang members start to drag Jett towards the exit and the plot switches over to Isabella who's still chasing Inferak. Isabella: Damn I'm tired, but it will be all worth it when I get my revenge. Where did he go anyways? Inferak: You just made a classic mistake by turning your back. Inferak always get the first attack in this battle, but it only does about 2000 damage since his stats are the same as in Chapter 1. Just have Isabella use Wave of Destruction about 4 times, which means you'll have to refill Isabella's APs at least once, and Inferak says "I don't have the time to deal with you brat!" and runs off. Since you didn't defeat Inferak you get zero EXP and Dac. Make sure to restore Isabella's HP and AP to full after this battle. Isabella: I blew it again. Oh well there's more important things to do like saving my family. A muffled "Help!" is heard. Isabella: Where did that come from? Isabella turns around and sees a massive locked door behind her. Isabella: I'm guessing it came from in there, but how do I get the door opened? A "THUD!" is heard, and then the floor shakes for a few seconds along with the Ripple Pak, if you have one. Isabella is knocked down, and the door opens to reveal an Armor, the hostages and an open passageway. The Armor turns around and faces Isabella. Armor Pilot: I was expecting Shinuzzo, but I guess he sent you instead. Isabella stands back up. Isabella: I came here on my own free will. Armor Pilot: Anyways, what's your name? Isabella: I'm not going to tell you that. Armor Pilot: Oh well, at least I get a chance to test out my new armor Armanent! Armament only has 25,000 HP, but don't let this fool you since it's stats are high, so Isabella's attacks will do less damage then they normally do. Aramament normal attack does about 4000 damage to Isabella, which isn't too bad, but it's special attack "The Crusher!" does 10000 damage. The way to see, if "The Crusher!" will be used next turn, is the cannon on Armament's chest will drop right after it attacks. The best way to beat Armament is to use Gale Impale, until Isabella needs to restore her HP/AP. This battle will take a while to complete, but when you win Isabella receives 1,000,000 EXP and 800,000 Dac. The cockpit to the Armament opens and Sirpirtincus jumps out and tries to teleport. Sirptincus: Why won't this thing let me go back to H.Q.! Oh, well I'll have to settle for somewhere else. Sirpirtincus makes a second attempt, and successfully gets away this time. Isabella: He left the armor behind...hmmmm I wonder, if it still works. Better check on the others first. Isabella walks over to the hostages. Isabella: Is everyone ok? Velin Townsperson #1: Yeah, you saved just in time thank you. Velin Townsperson #2: You're Bansef's daughter aren't you? Isabella: Yes, why? Velin Townsperson #2: I hate to be the one to break the news, but he was... killed by Inferak when they captured us. Isabella: No! It's all happening again! Why?! Isabella falls to her knees crying. Isabella: I came all this way for nothing... Velin Townsperson #3: This might not be the best time, but there's something behind the door that was locked. Velin Townsperson #1: We already know what's behind that door. Velin Townsperson #3: I mean the other door. Velin Townsperson #4: I'll take a look. V.T. #4 walks down the passageway, and then runs back into the room that the other townspeople and Isabella are in. Velin Townsperson #4: There's an airship over there! Maybe Kev can figure out how to fly it. Kev: I'll take a shot at it. Kev looks over at Isabella. Kev: Hey what are you crying about, we can go back to Velin now! Isabella: My father is dead you jerk. Kev: Well I'm sure he wouldn't you to be shedding tears over him. Are you just going to kneel their all day, or are you going to avenge him! Isabella gets back onto her feet and goes over to Kev. It looks she is about to punch him when... Isabella: Wait, you're right crying won't bring him back from the dead. Let's get out of here, before they send back-up. The townspeople and Kev travel down the passageway towards the airship. Isabella jumps into the Armament and starts it up. Isabella: Still works, but it won't last too long without repairs. The Armament follows behind them. Kev enters the cockpit of the airship and looks around. Kev: There has to be an instruction manual around here somewhere. He searches under the controls and finds a piece of paper. The Controls for the Ascendent are the following... X: Lands the Ascendent O: Increases the Ascendent's altitude [] and a directional button: makes the Ascendent travel in a certain direction /\: allows you to exit the pilot's seat and walk about the rest of the Ascendent L1: used to exit the Ascendent while landed L2: enter the Ascendent when standing next to it Note: The Ascendent can not travel over mountains, buildings, forests, or anything else that is over 10 feet in height. Kev: Well it's time to move out! Isabella runs into the cockpit of the Ascendent. Isabella: Well I got the Armament into the cargo hold, before we go to Velin can we make a stop somewhere? I need to check on a few people. Kev: All right. You now gain control of the Ascendent! Travel west until you reach you reach the house where you met Isabella. Land the Ascendent near-by and then save. After doing that go back in to the house. A man will be inside waiting for Isabella. Isabella: Well I'm back from my mission Erik. How are the others doing? Erik: I have some bad news Isabella... Isabella: What is it? Erik: While you were gone the man woke up and walked out. Isabella: Do you have any idea of where he went? Erik: No. ++Isabella: What about the woman? Erik: She's still here resting.++ Isabella: Do you want to come with me onto the airship. Erik: Airship?! You have to be kidding me! Isabella: It's right outside. Erik: Sure++, I better bring the woman with me though.++ Oh yeah, I found something while searching through the wreckage on the boat. I set it over on the floor. Erik ++picks up Leslie and++ follows Isabella outside. The screen goes black and Lof the Rabear appears. Lof: A brief explantation on Erik's ability "Deck". There are 52 standard playing cards spread through out the world. Each time you find a card it will increase the amount of damage "Deck" does. The game returns to normal now, so pick up the spear "Trident", and exit the house, then enter the Ascendent. It will automatically fly towards Velin ending this long section. ((True Love)) The action now turns back over to Juan who has entered the Aqert Captial Cononos. Juan: Looks like the A.S. is going to be busy for a while cleaning this place up. First thing to do is ditch this uniform, or I'll be back in the slammer in no time. Sounds like someone is coming. Juan takes cover behind garbage dumpster. Two men in A.S. uniforms walk down the sidewalk next to it. Aqert Trooper #1: I can't believe that were called for duty on the night of Shinuzzo's execution. Aqert Trooper #2: Yeah, some of my buddies were killed by him a few years back. Now I don't even get to see the bastard suffer damn it, just because General Zenteves has to hold her stupid inaugration party at the same time. Aqert Trooper #1: Why did they make her the new Overlord anyway? Shouldn't General Inferak be the one to take over? Aqert Trooper #2: That's what I thought too, they are supposed to give the Overlord job to the longest active General. An Aqert Commander approaches the two A.S. Aqert Commander: You aren't suppose to speak about the exceution in public, what if one of our enemies heard about it! Aqert Trooper #1: We invoked martial law here after the H.Q. got destroyed. There's no way anyone could be out here and not get noticed. Aqert Commander: I don't care! Even with the added troops we still can't cover every sqaure-inch of the city at once! I'm going to have you two reported for this! Aqert Trooper #1: You aren't going to report me! I QUIT! Aqert Trooper #2: Same here! The two troopers dash away from the Commander. Aqert Commander: You better hope I don't catch you, or you'll be cleaning toliets for the next 30 years! During the distraction Juan has managed to sneak up behind the A.S. Commander, and as soon as he finished chewing out the two soldiers,he punches him the back of the head, then swipes the uniform. Make sure to equip the uniform before proceeding any further, or Juan will be caught, and killed automatically on site. Meanwhile in Infinity Base... Inside of a nicely decorated office, are the four thugs that captured Jett, and two people one male and the other female who we haven't seen before. The female does look like the teenage girl who was in Jett's most recent flashback, but older. Gang Member #3: Where's the 2 million Dac you promised us for bringing Shinuzzo in. Unknown Female: Relax you will get the money soon. An A.S. runs into the office gasping for breath. A.S. Informer: General Zenteves... we have just... received word... from the... L.S... base that General... Varrols... has been... killed. General Zenteves: Well it looks like that it's time to pay a visit to Test Site #47 and retrieve Project CRSC-63. Unknown Male: Are you sure that's a good idea? Some guy broke in a few weeks ago and destroyed three armors. Plus I've heard rumors that one of our expirements broke lose. General Zenteves: I trust that you and some soldiers can deal with it Commander Galvasi. Commander Galvasi: Yes ma'am. Commander Galvasi walks out of the office. General Zenteves: Now that's taken care of I will deal with the matter of your pay, but first I have an offer for you. Gang Member #4: This better be good we have other jobs to take care of. General Zenteves: Trust me this will be worth your time. Anyways, Inferak has been trying to convince Hyzeia to become part of Aqert for some time now. The Hyzeia Council has rejected our offers repeatedly, so we have been left with one other option which is to destroy the city. We can't send our own forces, since the recent destruction of our Headquarters has forced to tighten security. I will double your pay to 4 million Dac, if you go with Inferak to Hyzeia and successfully wipe it off the face of Lacio. Gang Member #5: What about if we fail? General Zenteves: Trust me, if you fail you won't come back here alive. Gang Member #3: You'll kill us?! General Zenteves: No, but the townspeople of Hyzeia will. Gang Member #2: They are just average townspeople how deadly can they be? General Zenteves: There's quite a few skilled fighters and mages that live there. I hope that capturing Shinuzzo wasn't just a fluke for you guys. Gang Member #5: Should we take the job? Gang Member #2: Well no one else is offering anywhere near that amount. Gang Member #4: Yeah, but none of the other jobs are anywhere near this dangerous. Gang Member #3: Wait a moment, how powerful is this Inferak you keep talking about? General Zenteves: He almost destroyed Hyzeia by himself 5 years ago, only a few people managed to escape alive. Of course Hyzeia is a lot more deadly now, then it was during Inferak's first attack. Gang Member #4: It sounds like we can win let's take the job. Gang Member #2: Are you sure? Gang Member #4: It's worth the risk. Gang Member #5: I agree. Gang Member #3: As do I. Gang Member #2: Well then, I guess we accept your deal General. General Zenteves: Splendid. Inferak's airship is at Cononos Airport. He will give you further instructions once you get aboard. Gang Member #2: It's a long walk from here to Cononos do you have a quicker way to get there? General Zenteves: One of our supply trucks arrived here a few hours ago. You can borrow it, if necessary. Gang Member #3: All right! The four gang members run out of the office. General Zenteves: I just hope they don't mess our plans up. A.S. Informer: Can I... go get... something to drink. General Zenteves: Go ahead there's something I need to take care of. Outside of Velin... Erik: Now that the townspeople are back, ++and the woman is with the medics++, should we go look for the man. Isabella: His name is Trabaj by the way, ++and the women's name is Leslie. Erik: Sorry, I should have asked earlier. Isabella: Don't worry about it. Erik: Anyway let's go back to the house to search for clues about where Trabaj went. Isabella: Good idea. Anyways go back into the Ascendent and Kev will still waiting. Erik: Aren't you going to back to Velin? Kev: Nah, there's nothing left for me there besides don't you need my help? Isabella: Um... yes... I guess... we do. Kev: Well I'm coming with you then. Now head back to Erik and Isabella's house, and then go inside. Search under the beds and beneath one of them you'll find a note. Erik: Hey, I found something it appears to be a note, but the ink has been smeared. Isabella: It say something about Hyzeia... Isabella falls to the floor. Voices: Failure... it's your fault they are dead... get out of here... NOW! Erik: Isabella are you ok? Isabella: My head...something triggering...memory...ugh. A flashback begins...we see the remains of village that has been burnt to the ground. A younger Isabella is standing surronded by four people. Hyzeia Townsperson #1: Failure... Hyzeia Townsperson #2: It's your fault they are dead... Hyzeia Townsperson #3: Get out of here... NOW! Hyzeia Townsperson #4: Inferak killed almost everyone, you have betrayed us all. Hyzeia Townsperson #1: Leave or you shall join the dead! Isabella: I didn't do anything wrong, it wasn't me... Hyzeia Townsperson #3: LIAR! Hyzeia Townsperson #4: I saw it with my own eyes, she killed Erin's mother and father in cold blood! Isabella: I've been framed... I swear. Hyzeia Townsperson #2: She's trying to trick us! KILL HER! The flashback ends. Isabella: I think it would be better, if you go to Hyzeia alone. Erik: Why? Isabella: I rather not talk about it. Erik: We're best friends Isabella, there's something you can't tell me? Isabella: Sorry, it hurts just to think about what happened. Maybe I should get some rest. Erik: All right. Isabella is out the party for now. Exit the house and go back into the Ascendent. This would be a good time to start collect some of the cards. Refer to the Kratzer's Cards section to find which ones you can currently get. After you are done with that talk to Kev. Erik: Would there be anyway for someone to get from Nyckos to Hyzeia without an airship? Kev: Possibly, if they had a boat, but the only place I know that has them is the Docks. The problem is all the boats there have been wrecked by Xife. Erik: I've never of Xife before. Kev: Xife was a shipbuilder who was once famous, before Aqert start making high-tech boats which made Xife's obselete and eventually put him out of business. Erik: How do you know all of this? Kev: Let's just say I do a lot of travelling. Erik: Well, let's pay Xife a visit. Kev: Ok. The Ascendent will automatically fly to the Docks and then Erik will enter. The place is covered with broken pieces of wood and metal. An old man is sitting at a table writing on a piece of paper. Erik: Are you Xife? Xife: I've never seen you before, how did you know my name? Erik: I've heard about you. Xife: Look I don't make boats anymore, if that's what you are here for, then you are wasting my time. Erik: Have you had any other visitors recently? Xife: Yeah, a guy came in a few hours ago asking, if I had any spare boats, I told him that the only ones here were about to fall apart. He didn't listen though and offered to buy one, so I sold it to him. There isn't much of a chance he's going to get far. In my 2500 years here I haven't seen anyone that stupid or reckless. Erik: Did you say 2500 years? Xife: No, I said 25 years that's the problem with whippersnappers they never pay attention to an old man's advice. Erik: You must be senile, because I'm sure that the number was 2500. Xife: All right, all right you got me. After over 7000 years my memory starting to go. January 17, 27 F.J. Today we fought Huwmona one of the Seven Sin Slayers in Null City. Omit, Cunsax, Phantreese, and myself managed to finally kill him after over a month of trying to bring his forces down. Phantreese was wounded severly by Huwmona's Pride Axe and was forced to retreat. After a long battle we gained possesion of our sixth Sin weapon. March 23, 27 F.J This day would go down in history. The group known to the public as Heaven's Eleven was ready to take the leader of the Seven Sin Slayers Sharper. To tell the truth Heaven's Eleven wasn't a group of saints. We were just eleven average people fighting for what we believed in. At around midnight we reached Illusion Castle and Sharper was waiting for us. The winged demon glared at us with it's solid red eyes. In one of it's claws was a cup of blood which was need to fill it's evil desires. The other held what we had came for the Sloth Scythe. Even though it was extremely outnumbered the foul wretched beast managed to put up one hell of a fight. It was pretty even until we were it hit by it's deadly spell which previous victims of it named Purgatory. After it's wrath we were left barely clinging onto life. Then Omit did something none of us suspected would happen. His body was vaporized in a flash of light which took Sharper with it. The ten of us woke a few hours later to find nothing more than two piles of ashes. We took the Sloth Scythe and destroyed as had been done with the other six Sin weapons. To make sure that, if Sharper ever returned in another lifetime that it could be destroyed, so the ten of us sealed each of our powers into a ring. We then drained Omit's equipment of it's energy and filled three more rings with it. Cunsax, Phantresse, Taveam, Denelona, Yanvoyen, Jeazic, Seuhty, Okinas, Iacil and myself all left Illusion Castle in truimph. Little did we know that it was far from over... Erik: How did you live to be over 7000 years old? Xife: The energy from Omit's sacrifice increased the rest of Heaven's Eleven power which slowed down the aging process. Erik: What happened to the rest of Heaven's Eleven? Xife: We all agreed not to reveal that information. I didn't include it in the book either, so don't bother looking in there. Erik: Anyways I better be going. Xife: Goodbye and make sure to read the rest of the book. Go back to the Ascendent now and Kev will be standing outside waiting. Kev: I found out why the airship can barely get off the ground. Erik: What's the problem? Kev: The electrical wiring in one of the engines has been damaged, it's barely getting enough power to even start up. I wouldn't advise using the airship until we can get that fixed. I can repair it, but there isn't any replacement wires on board. Maybe you could go ask Xife, if has anything that would work. Erik: I highly doubt that he does. Kev: I suppose we have no other choice then to head for Hole. Erik: I'm going to go check on Isabella first. Now head south back towards the house. Make sure to equip Erik with the Luck Dagger and the best armor you have available. The dagger won't help too much, but it's better then nothing. The random encounters on the way won't be too much trouble, but make sure you have full HP/AP when you reach the house. It wouldn't be a bad idea to save either. Once you enter the house you'll hear a engine sound. Erik: Did he manage to fix the airship? Walk over to Isabella who's lying down on one of the beds. Erik: Hey Isabella are you awake? The door then busts open and Trabaj enters the house. Erik: What the hell are you doing?! Oh, wait it's you. I see you made it back from Hyzeia ok. Trabaj: You read the note! Four men coming running into the house. RENEGADE Member #1: Is everything ok... wait a minute that's the Hyzeia murderer over there! RENEGADE Member #2: You're right she looks exactly like the woman on the wanted posters! Trabaj: Please move out of the way we have to bring her in for questioning. Erik: What's going on here? Trabaj: Your friend there is wanted by the Hyzeian government for two counts of first degree murder. Erik: You aren't going to be taking her anywhere! Besides she saved your life, don't owe her a favor? Trabaj: Yes, but I still have to do my job. Erik: Look I don't wanted to fight you, but I'm going to protect her, if I have to. It's a promise I made a long time ago, and I don't intend to break it now. Trabaj: This is your final warning, move now, or I'll be forced to bring you both in. Erik: Never. This battle is rigged of course. Trabaj always get the first turn and uses Insane Grin. The remaining members of RENEGADE do enough damage to finish Erik off. Erik: Isabella, I failed you... The plot moves over to Jett who's in Infinity Base trapped in a cell. He's awake now and trying to pick the lock on the door. He's gets zapped by a small pulse of energy. Jett: Ouch! Ok, maybe that wasn't such a great idea. There must be someway to escape from here. Even if I get out of this cell it will be hard since they took my swords. My head oh not again... The plot moves into the past 21 years. Jett, Damon, Trabaj, and the teenage girl are standing in front of a desk in the N.S Recruitment Center. A man is filling out papers contain information about the applicants. Damon: Hello the four of us would like to join the N.S. Recorder: Names please? Jett: Jett Shinuzzo Damon: Damon Varrols Trabaj: Trabaj Zamitaf Teenage Girl: Libida Zenteves Recorder: Ages? Jett: 16 Damon: 14 Trabaj: 15 Libida: 15 Recorder: Sorry we don't take any who's under 17. Damon: We would like to attempt the test. Recorder: You have to be kidding, no one has ever passed the test. Damon: I'm serious, what's the test? Recorder: Go to Demon Hive north of here and slay the Granite Dragon. Oh yeah there's some equipment in the closet over there. Walk over to the closet and you'll find some of the best equipment in the game. Too bad the game automatically equips the weapons and armor as soon you open the closet. You can't remove them and they will be gone after this flashback sequence. Most of this equipment you won't be able to get again until much later in the game. Anyways here's the equipment you get... Jett- Fragger Arc, Deluxe Armor Damon- Decapitator, Deluxe Armor Trabaj- Platinum Axe, Thick Armor Libida- Doomedrang, Plated Dress Damon: People got killed in Demon Hive with this quality of gear? Recorder: Actually we didn't add that stuff until recently. Oh yeah make sure to return it, if you come back alive. Damon: This will be so easy. Jett: Don't get too cocky Damon, after all no human has come back from Demon Hive alive. Damon: Then we will be the first to do so. Libida: Let's just get this over with. Damon: Agreed. Leave the N.S. Recruitment Center and Jett and company will be in Hole. The city looks a lot different then it does in the present. Exit Hole and go north until you reach Demon Hive. Don't even try to go anywhere else, because Damon will say "Come on let's get to Demon Hive already!" and won't let proceed in the direction you were heading. Make sure to save outside out of Demon Hive since this isn't an easy dungeon even with the equipment since everyone is around Level 40. Demon Hive 1st Floor There's eight tunnels which branch off the entrance. Seven of them lead to dead ends. The one that goes down is the second on the right. Demon Hive Below the Entrance 1 This part is a maze, so you will need to go the following directions to procced. North, West, South, East, South,West, North. Make sure to keep your HP/AP up since the random battles are harder on this floor. Demon Hive Below the Entrance 2 Nothing to explain here. Make sure to use the Save Thingy in the middle and restore everyone's HP/AP to full. Demon Hive Below the Entrance 3 This floor is empty, but there's a huge hole which takes up about half of it. Damon: Should we jump down the hole? Jett: It looks pretty deep and there might not be a way out. The Granite Dragon then flies out of the hole. As the name suggests its covered in stone, and it takes up most of the area around the hole. Granite Dragon: RRRROOOOOOAAAAARRRR!!!!!!! This is a hard battle even with the powerful equipment. The Granite Dragon has a high defense, so your attacks will only about 1000 damage. On the bright side you won't be taking much damage either, due to the armor. There are no rewards for winning this one since it's a flashback after all. After the battle is over Damon will walk over and slash off the dragon's head. He then tries to lift up, but can't. Damon: This thing is heavy will you give a hand here! Jett, Trabaj, and Libida help Damon raise the head and they start to carry it out. The flashback ends here and the plot goes back to the present with Jett in Infinity Base. He awakens and stands to find Lani standing outside of his cell. Jett: Lani! I'm so glad to see you, help me get out of here! Lani:... Jett: Turn off the power to the lock. Lani:... Jett: Please help me out here... I still love you. I...I'm sorry about the fights, I shouldn't have attacked you. I understand, if you can't forgive me. Let me help you out there has to undo what has happened to you. Lani: Now we can be together for the rest of our lives. That's what you always wanted Jett didn't you. Jett: You spoke?! That's impossible! Lani: Nothing is impossible when there's true love. I hate to break your heart, but yours is dead. Jett: What are you talking about, and why does your voice sound different then it did before what happened at The Wall? Lani: I'm suprised you didn't figure it out sooner. (Start of FMV Sequence) Lani's body starts to glow and her figure changes into Libida's. (End of FMV Sequence) Jett: This... can't be... possible... it's not happening ARGH! Libida: I killed her... I killed Lani after my troops found her at The Wall. Jett: YOU BITCH!!! I actually loved you once, but now I'm even more pissed off at you then I was at Damon! Libida: My sweet Damon, you had to go and kill him. You were jealous that I choose him over you. Jett: I have never regretted that decision. Libida: Well that's too bad, we might have made a nice couple. Jett: Where did you learn that shapeshifting crap anyways? Libida: I've been learning the Forgotten Arts. Here's another trick I learned. Libida lifts her arm up and Jett goes flying backwards into the wall. Libida: Teeheehee, now wasn't that fun? Jett regains his balance and gets back onto his feet. Jett: You really have a sick sense of humor. Libida: You know what's going to be even funnier? When Sirpirtincus pulls the lever for the chair. Too bad I have other plans, or I would do it myself. Jett: Are you trying to scare me, or hit on me? Libida: I don't know, which ever one I enjoy more. Well it's time for me to go. Libida blows Jett a kiss and walks off down the hall. Jett: Lani, I swear that your death will not be in vain...I have always loved you and always will. This is all my fault, if I had never got involved in this stupid war you would still be alive. Jett starts to break into tears. Jett: Goodbye Lani we will meet again someday...don't worry I'll take good care of Joanne. ((Unfriendly Fire)) Meanwhile in Hyzeia Prison Erik and Isabella are behind bars. Isabella still hasn't woke up yet. Erik: Now why did they bring us here? Trabaj enters the hall from a stairway. Trabaj: You're free to go, but she has to stay here. Erik: I'm not leaving here without her. Trabaj: Maybe you don't understand. Trabaj walks over to the cell door and inserts the key to unlock it. He then turns the key and the door opens and then he drags Erik out against his will. After doing this he shoves Erik across the hall and then relocks the door. Trabaj: Now leave and didn't think about coming back, because added security will be here shortly. Exit the hall via the stairway and you'll be on the second floor. As soon as you leave the stairway area four guards will block it off to keep Erik from going back down. There isn't anywhere else to go, but outside since all the other doors are locked. Leave the prison and you'll have the oppournity to buy new weapons, armor and items. There's also a Motel here which restores your HP/AP to full. It costs 1000 Dac, which is a good deal since it's the same price as a Pillow. There's also a Save Thingy in the Motel, so you might want to use that. You can't leave the town though since there's four 15 foot high concrete walls surronding it. The only way in or out is through two steel doors which are guarded by two members of RENEGADE. They can't open or close the doors without permission from Trabaj. There's also two buildings you can't get into. One requires a Glowing Rock to enter, and the other is guarded by another member of RENEGADE. To continue on visit the item shop and walk behind the counter. Items Shop Owner: What are you doing? Erik: I was going to ask if you any electrical wire that would work for an airship engine. Items Shop Owner: Yeah actually we do since RENEGADE's airship seems to have engine trouble all the time. Erik: What's the price? Items Shop Owner: I'm not allowed to sell that item to anyone outside of RENEGADE. Erik: Is there any other way that I would be able to get the wire? Items Shop Owner: Why don't you ask Trabaj? Erik: ARGH! It seems like you can't do anything here without asking him first, does he rule over this town or something? Items Shop Owner: No, the Hyzeia Council does, but he is the leader of RENEGADE which enforces the law here. Erik: How does one join RENEGADE? Items Shop Owner: I'm not sure maybe you should go talk to Trabaj. Erik: This is going nowhere fast. Looks like there's no way I can avoid him. Exit the items shop and head outside. The house that had a guard in front of it can now be entered since no one is blocking the doorway now. First walk over to the couch and you'll find the 2 of Spades under one of the cushions. Now head up the stairway and you'll intercept Trabaj who's going down. Trabaj: What part of "get lost" don't you understand? Erik: Hand over the key to Isabella's cell, and I'll be glad to. Trabaj: Sorry, I don't have any say in that matter, why don't you talk to the Council. Erik: You have the key, can't you defy authority? Trabaj: Get out of my way! Erik: Nope, and you aren't going to win this time. Another fight with Trabaj, and the outcome is the same as last time. Erik falls down the stairway and onto the floor. Trabaj: That should teach him. How did he get past the guard anyways? Trabaj walks down the stairway and then goes outside. The guard who standing there earlier is waiting. Trabaj: Why weren't you guarding the entrance? RENEGADE Guard: Sorry, I needed a cigarette bad. Trabaj: Those things will kill you. Now get back on duty before someone else breaks in! You now get to control Juan in Cononos. Head east until you reach a gas station. A truck will pull up and the four gang members step out. Gang Member #5: I told you we should have refueled the truck before we left! Gang Member #3: I didn't think it was this far to the airport. Gang Member #2: Let's just get the tank filled up already! There's no telling when Inferak will leave! Juan: Inferak? Looks like I can get him back for what he did to Quachi. One of the gang members removes the gas cap on the truck and starts pumping fuel into it. Gang Member #4: Go pay for the gas, so we can get out of here. The other three gang members enter the gas station. Juan: Now's my chance. Sneak around the end of the truck facing away from the gas station and to the back of the truck. Pull the lever on the side to open the back end and go inside. Then push the button on the inside of the truck to close the back. Use the crowbar laying on the floor to open one of the crates it doesn't matter which one. Juan looks inside and sees that it's nearly filled with C-4. Juan: I better find out what this is for, but I need to hide before someone comes in here. Juan drops the crowbar and carefully climbs into the crate then ducks into it. He closes the lid on the crate. The view switches to the outside where the gang members have refulled the truck, and are back in the front. The driver starts up the truck and it heads towards the airport. We now return to Isabella who's still knocked out in Hyzeia and a flashback starts up. Isabella is sitting in a room with several other people. Kacinne is the only person standing. Kacinne: Now listen up! From what our spies in Aqert have told us there's going to be troop led by Inferak coming to attack us soon. We have requested help from the Reyle government, and they have agreed to send in reinforcments. A man enters the room who has suffered from severe burns. Burnt Man: Inferak's... here. Kacinne: How many others are with him? Burnt Man: He's...come...alone. The man collapses to the floor and passes away. Kacinne: One casuality already, now we can't have anymore people! Now everyone get into their positions. Everyone leaves the compound and takes up guard throughout Hyzeia. The city looks completly different from the present day Hyzeia, and there's no wall blocking off the city from the rest of the world. Inferak enters the city scorching everything in his path with a flamethrower. Kacinne who's standing on a rooftop starts giving out orders. Kacinne: Shoot to kill people! Everyone who can see Inferak fires their rifles at him, but he jumps out of the way and throws a couple near-by Hyzeia soldiers into the line of fire. Kacinne: Stop shooting! The firing comes to a halt, and Kacinne waves his hand in the air. It's the signal for the spear troops on the roof to attack. Kacinne, Isabella and several others jump from the rooftops and start trying to fight Inferak off. You get to control Kacinne, Isabella, and three nameless soldiers in a battle against Inferak. He starts out by burning everyone with his flamethrower which swounds the three soldiers. Have Kacinne attack, and have Isabella use Wave of Destruction. Once Inferak takes 20000 damage he grabs Isabella's by the hand and uses her for a shield. Inferak: Drop your weapon, or after I finish with her, she'll fit inside of a jar! Kacinne drops his spear and backs away. Inferak takes advantage of the situation and lets a blast of flame out at Kacinne. Isabella: Kacinne! Inferak: Now to make things more intresting. Inferak's hand glows with a blue spiritual flame which makes a connection with Isabella and then enters her body. She then charges at Kacinne driving her spear into his knee. Kacinne removes the spear and limps away clutching his leg. Inferak: Impressive, now distract the rest of them while I finish destroying the town. Isabella nods and starts fighting off more Hyzeia troops which are trying get to Inferak. Meanwhile more of the city gets consumed in fire since no one can reach Inferak due to Isabella. Two soldiers manage to get manage to back Isabella against a building and start slicing away at her with their knives, but she manages to block all their swings, and eventually drives the spear through through one of the soldier's chest, and then uses the back end to do the same move on the other. The two soldiers fall to the ground in a bloody heap side by side. Isabella then removes the spear from the corpses and continues the fight against the few Hyzeia soldiers which hadn't been injuried or killed. A tranquilizer dart hits Isabella in the back and a few seconds later she drops to the ground and falls asleep. The flashback ends then Isabella wakes up in the present and screams. Sections V-VII are blank due to having nothing to put at this time. Section VIII: Endings #1: This is the cliché ending when you lose a non-rigged battle. The words "The World is Now Forever Damned" appear on the screen and Then the Death Theme starts playing. After a few seconds you get taken back to the title screen. #2 The ending if Jett goes insane from "Proffesor" Jargon's lecture. Jett: Can't take it anymore . . . must end it all now. Jett, then breaks his own neck and the words "A Loser is You!" appear on the screen and then you hear Jargon's bad voice actor laugh a few times. Then you get taken back to the main screen. Hyper Bike (6 minutes or more remaining, by the way it looks kind of like a Speeder Bike from Return of the Jedi, plus it hovers a few inches off the ground which makes it avoid oil spills) Firepower: Excellent (it has a built in laser which you can fire non-stop and it's extremely quick) Armor: Average Speed:Average* Handling: Average* *The bike actually goes up to excellent for speed, but the faster you go the harder it is to manuver effectively, so it makes things easier to keep at average or lower) Overall: Great Snowmobile (5:00-5:59 remaining) Firepower: Good (The Icicle Launcher is a good offensive/defensive weapon since it can be used to disable the enemies' tires, engines, weapons, etc, and if the target has windows on it, you might get a lucky shot off, and take out the driver. The only downside that vechiles with heavy armor take a lot less damage from this weapon.) Once you collect all 52 cards a bonus of 60000 damage will be added to the 440000, and Erik will hit for 500000 total. (125 volts): next attack does 2.5x amount of the regular damage Weapons: Plasma Beam XX: The Origin of Pain Believe it or not Pain didn't start out as an IAQ. It was originally a story I was writing, but with a twist it had RPG style battles. The first chapter was completed on March 21, 1998. 16 chapters were written before I discontinued it in December of 1998. The reason for this was that I decided that it would work better as an IAQ. There were some differences in the plot in example in the story the Priest was killed by Lani at St.Omit's, and Jett was the one who visited Test Site 47, not Trabaj, Wicks, and Bedge. Most of the earlier chapters had the same plot as in the IAQ version though, which is the reason that it was updated more frequently when it first came out.
